2. Course Name ASEAN Integration in Education/Foreign Language
3. Course Description This required course aims to develop the student's skills, knowledge, and understanding
of the best practices in the Education of the different universities in the ASEAN region. It
is a regional community approach to integrating Education through field exposure or a
foreign language study that will create more joint academic programs and partnerships
with other universities responsive to meeting the needs of 21st-century learners.

After completing this course, the student must be able to: 1 2 3 4 5
1. Develop awareness of the objectives and purpose of ASEAN integration.    

2. Demonstrate understanding of the role of the ASEAN Quality and Reference    


Framework (AQRF) and the National qualification frameworks (NQF) as
common criteria to enable comparison of Education across participating
ASEAN Member States.

3. Demonstrate understanding and appreciation of the education system of the    


ASEAN Member States

4. Demonstrate understanding of the language of the ASEAN Member States    

5. Develop an appreciation of the language and culture of the ASEAN Member    


States towards promoting ASEAN regional development.

6. Develop awareness about the challenges and opportunities brought by ASEAN    


integration towards enhancing the education system in the region.
7. Demonstrate awareness of the status of the Philippines in implementing the    
programs and policies about ASEAN Integration.
