Mark Cuban started the company MicroSolutions with help from that very network. At 32, he told
MicroSolutions to CompuServe for a cool $6 million. He later became a lead funder of Broadcast.com
a site that became instrumental in webcasting. The company was acquired by Yahoo! for stock
equivalents of a staggering $5.7 billion. Cuban, along with former Broadcast.com owner Todd
Wagner founded the film and video distribution house 2929 Entertainment. In 2000, Cuban took his
love of sports to the next level when he became the majority owner of the Dallas Mavericks for $285
million.
In a role model the person should be a leader, confident, should have great communication skills,
should have a unique mind set, treat everyone equally and should have the courage to admit his
mistake and don’t blame others.
This said I believe Mark Cuban is and will be the best role model for me. When I was 9 years old, I
came across a tv show named Shark Tank in which he was one of the judges was mark Cuban and
since that day I was hooked to that show and how mark use to make decision and also use to help the
young entrepreneur with capital as well as help them in their pitch. His most successful investment
was in Nuts ‘N More which he invested $250000 for 35 percent in 2013 and by the end of 2018 the
company made an astonishing profit of 30 million dollars. This inspired me a lot to think out of the
box and to do those things that others think it might be less or not worth of time.
Other than mark Cuban my role model is Rakesh Jhunjhunwala. He is also known Wanner Buffet; he
is also known for his strategic investment in bull as well as in bear market. His strategic move and
prediction have influence me as well as many other stock marker players. The amount of time he
spends on the research work and his egal eye on catching the information always amazes me.
When I became a certified stock broker from NSE my first dream was to meet Mr Rakesh
Jhunjhunwala, which came true as when I finished my schooling and my teacher having some
connection in NSE Kolkata arranged a workshop in which chief guest was Mr Jhunjhunwala. After
meeting him I found out that he was also like me have no clues what will happen tomorrow but seeing
his enthusiasm I was inspired to continue to trade and learned that if you are coming into this field
then there is a very high possibility that you will fail at one point of time, but the learning curve is to
get up and think like no one thinks just like Mark Cuban and act like Rakesh Jhunjhunwala.
With this said I would like to conclude by saying that there might be many influncers that might come
in our life but the thing we need to remember is how well we can retain their good habits of them.
