DIALOGUE 2 (What Time is the next Hikari?)

TOURIST:
Skinkansen wa koko desu ka? Is this where you catch the Shinkansen? (Is the Shinkansen
here?)

MAN:
Hai, koko desu yo. Yes, it is. ( I assure you. )

TOURIST :
Tokyo-yuki wa nan-ji desu ka? What time is the train for Tokyo?

MAN :
Hikari desu ne.Tsugi no densha Hikari , isn’t it? The next train is at 9:00.
wa ku-ji desu.

TOURIST :
Nan-ban-sen desu ka? What track is it?

MAN :
Ju-go ban-sen desu. It’s track no.15.

TOURIST :
Domo arigato. Thank you.

Arimasu ka?

CLERK :
Hai, go-kai ni gozaimasu. Yes , there is on the 5th floor.

TOURIST :
Tenpura, o-negai shimasu. Tenpura, please.

WAITRESS :
Nan no tenpura desu ka? What kind of tempura ?

TOURIST :
Ebi no tempura desu. Shrimp tempura.

WAITRESS :
O-nomimono wa? How about a drink?

TOURIST :
Biiru, o- negai shimasu. Beer ,please.

WAITRESS :
Kashikomarimashita. Certainly, sir.
