INTRODUCTION
Relevance of the business plan – Kitchen crew app

For a good business idea creative thinking is important. You just have to look around for

opportunities to make your dream come true. There are lots of bad reasons to start a company. But

there’s only one good, legitimate reason, and I think we know what it is: it’s to change the world.

A few months ago, I wanted a cook or someone to make a food for me and my family, but we had

a lot of trouble finding one, so I thought there should be an app that would help us find a cook very

easily. In today’s world, all family members are working member and office goers, or those who

want to hold functions in their homes such as Birthday Parties or Kitty parties etc. Thus, they have

little time to buy groceries, vegetables and prepare food on daily basis. Many of them rely on

restaurants, Tiffin providers, or office/college canteens. People from villages come to cities for

their studies and find it difficult to cook food on daily basis in hostels or PG. They also need

various food options and restaurant selections, and find it difficult to search every restaurant,

compare food prices/menu items, and order. This will be especially costly for students who live

away from their families for study. So, this App will be very helpful for all those people who need

a personal cook or a Catering service for themselves.

Importance of Kitchen Crew App

The platform can streamline the hiring process by improving communication and planning, saving

time for both customers and chefs. By increasing revenue potential and improving customer

satisfaction, a well-designed app can help personal chef services businesses thrive. The app's

accessibility, efficiency, and convenience can make hiring a chef a hassle-free experience for busy

individuals and make personal chef services more accessible to everyone. In short, an app for

Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology Mini Project 1

personal chef services can revolutionize the way people hire chefs and make personalized cooking

services more convenient and accessible to all.

Problem

Students living in PGs face challenges in accessing healthy meals due to their busy schedules and

limited resources, leading to a lack of proper nutrition and unhealthy eating habits. Meanwhile,

families struggle to find an affordable solution for hiring a personal chef for small gatherings and

events, with traditional catering services being too expensive. A personal chef service that is

affordable and suitable for small events and gatherings can provide students and families with

healthy and delicious food options, without the worry of cost or the hassle of preparation.

Solution

Revolutionize your dining experience with the personal chef services app! Perfect for busy families

and PG students, our app connects you with experienced chefs and a variety of healthy and

delicious menu options, all at an affordable price. Say goodbye to the hassle of traditional personal

chef service arrangements - our app offers online scheduling and payment options for a seamless

and convenient experience. Enjoy the benefits of personalized meal planning tailored to your

specific tastes and preferences, and improve your overall health and wellness with access to quality

meal preparation services. Download the app now and experience the ultimate dining convenience!

FEASIBILITY ANALYSIS

The viability of the kitchen crew app is determined using both primary data and secondary data. The first

section, which uses data from empirical research, discusses product feasibility, the second section with an

in-depth examination of the industry and market and the third section assesses the organizational viability

of the kitchen crew app. Finally, the financial viability is discussed below

PRODUCT FEASIBILITY:
In order to determine the kitchen crew app product feasibility, the Concept testing and Usability testing

have to be implemented. In this part, findings about The Paper Deck’s products are presented.

Concept Testing
Product: The product of a kitchen crew app could be a platform that connects users with personal chefs

or catering services that can provide customized meals for their specific needs. The app could offer features

such as a search function to find local chefs, a booking system to schedule appointments, a menu creator

for personalized meal plans, a payment system for transactions, and a review system for user feedback.

Additionally, the app could provide resources for chefs such as ingredient lists, recipe ideas, and marketing

tools to help them promote their services. The product could also include data analytics to help chefs

optimize their menu offerings and track their revenue.

Target Market: Our personalized app targets two distinct yet similar groups:

1. Busy working professionals and students living in PG accommodations who are looking

for a convenient and affordable solution to their meal needs.

2. Businesses and families who are seeking a personal chef service for events or special

occasions.

Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology Mini Project 1

These groups have a common need for a reliable and affordable source of healthy meals. Our app

caters to their diverse needs and provides them with a hassle-free experience, making it the perfect

solution for those seeking a personal chef service. Understanding the specific requirements of these

groups is essential to creating a successful app that meets their expectations.

Why The kitchen crew app?

Overall, our kitchen crew app service business plan has the potential to bring value to both

customers and the business by filling a gap in the market, increasing efficiency, and improving the

customer experience, among other benefits.

Meeting a need: There may be a growing demand for affordable and accessible personal chef

services, and our app can provide a solution to meet this need.

Innovation: By using technology to streamline the process of finding and hiring a personal chef,

our app can offer a new and innovative approach to this type of service.

Potential for growth: With an increasing demand for healthy and convenient meal options, our

app has the potential for significant growth and success.

Personal passion: The person may have a passion for food, cooking, or entrepreneurship, and our

app provides an opportunity to pursue these interests.

Usability Testing
Usability testing is a technique for determining how easy or complex a company's product is for users. And

as we all know that we all love to eat good and healthy food on time, but few of us don’t have the time or

Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology Mini Project 1

energy to cook healthy, delicious meals on time. So, we can start an online service platform that gives the

chefs to those families who cannot cook themselves or to those students who live away from their families

for studies or jobs in different – different locations.

Here we can help every individual to get chefs who can cook for them and it will also provide employment

to the willing chefs who are searching for homes where they can cook and earn for their livelihoods. Here

they can interact with each other for further discussions.

How can the kitchen crew app platform help people?

1. Ease of findings: It makes the finds of chefs easy according to the locations.

2. Efficiency: It shows results according to your finds which includes the locations and timing.

3. User-Friendly: This platform is absolutely user friendly and we can get what we want with just few

clicks and headhunting on this platform.

1. Planning the usability test:

The platform started with the goal of providing personal Chefs to students who live away from their

families for studies and to those families who cannot cook themselves. Here we find willing chefs who

want to cook and people who want chef for themselves

Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology Mini Project 1

Recruiting participants:

This stage includes who your exactly ideal participants will be, preparing a detailed recruiting

questionnaire, and determining a plan of action to begin seeking and evaluating participants for the same.

Preparing test materials:

The testing module preparation will help you to decide what actions you want to take with your platform

and the type of outcome you’re working toward. Then you need to design the test environment for the same.

Setting up the test environment:

Here, for this stage, you must pitch the interested candidates and design the actual environment where you

will conduct your tests. Here we can do remote testing (where participants can log in to the platform from

anywhere for the testing) according to their needs and wants.

Conducting the test:

Here you perform your personal chef testing with your participants and see how effectively they are getting

connected with the requested results. So, here the chefs can enroll themselves that they are willing to cook

and look for interested candidates and the students and families can find the chefs according to their location

and timings. We can detect if there will be any problems in collecting and recording data. At the time of

testing, we can work on any issues with our platform before the final release.

Analyzing the data:

Here the team will study all data gathered from the platform, work on critical insights, and take action

intelligence on improving your platform in a better way.

Reporting the Results:

Finally, here you will share your Personal Chef Platform’s findings with the relevant team to proceed with

your suggested improvements.

Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology Mini Project 1

We have conducted several tests and pilots for our personal chef app and are pleased to report that all

completed projects have met or exceeded our expectations. Our users have reported that the app's ability to

provide personalized meal planning and recipe suggestions based on dietary preferences and restrictions is

a significant advantage. Additionally, users appreciate the convenience of being able to order ingredients

directly from the app, and the ability to track their food delivery in real-time. Testing has been performed

on multiple recipe variations, with positive results in terms of taste and nutrition. Our app has also been

designed to be user-friendly and easy to navigate, with intuitive features and a visually appealing interface.

Our app has been tested under various conditions, and we have found that it performs best at room

temperature (approximately 26°C) and with moderate humidity (around 40%). Higher temperatures and

humidity levels can lead to decreased app performance and user experience. However, we have taken steps

to ensure the app remains reliable and functional in various environments, including extensive testing to

optimize its performance.

We use a proprietary algorithm to suggest meal plans and recipes that are tailored to each user's specific

dietary needs and preferences. Our team of experienced chefs and nutritionists ensure that each recipe is

not only delicious but also balanced and nutritious. We also use high-quality ingredients that are sourced

from trusted suppliers to ensure that users receive the best possible ingredients for their meals.

Our app is designed to make meal planning and preparation as easy and convenient as possible for our

users. By providing personalized meal suggestions, easy-to-follow recipes, and convenient ingredient

ordering and delivery, we believe that our app can help users save time and effort while still enjoying

delicious, healthy meals.

Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology Mini Project 1

INDUSTRY AND MARKET FEASIBILITY
In this, the target market is defined through market segment. Then, primary data and secondary data are

presented to evaluate market demand.

Target Industry Attractiveness

In India, our target market would be individuals and families who are looking for healthy, personalized

meal options delivered to their doorstep. The market size could be significant, especially in urban areas

with busy professionals, new parents, and health-conscious individuals. Additionally, the increasing

disposable income of the middle class in India could create a growing demand for premium culinary

experiences.

The level of competition in the personal chef industry is high, with traditional restaurants and home cooks

offering similar services. However, the app's unique business model of providing personalized chef services

through a tech-enabled platform could set it apart from other players in the market.

The potential for growth in our personal chef app industry could be significant, as the demand for

personalized meal services is likely to increase in the future. we would expand its operations to other cities

in India to capture a larger market share and diversify its business model to offer additional services such

as catering and cooking classes.

To meet the needs and preferences of its target customers, the personal chef app would need to offer high-

quality, healthy, and customized meal options. The app could leverage technology to offer features such as

real-time customer feedback and meal recommendations based on customer preferences. It could also

partner with local suppliers to source fresh and high-quality ingredients, and with nutritionists or health

experts to offer personalized meal plans and dietary advice.

Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology Mini Project 1

SWOT ANALYSIS

Strengths:

• Growing demand for healthy and personalized meal options in India

• Developing a loyalty program to retain existing customers and attract new ones

• Leveraging technology to offer additional features such as real-time customer feedback and meal

recommendations based on customer preferences

Threats:

• Fluctuating food prices and availability of ingredients due to seasonal variations and market

conditions

• Economic instability and changes in consumer spending habits due to external factors such as

pandemics or recessions

• Regulatory challenges related to food safety and hygiene standards

• Increasing competition from other food delivery and personal chef apps in the market

• Negative online reviews or social media posts can quickly damage the reputation of the business

Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology Mini Project 1

PESTLE Analysis

PESTLE analysis is a strategic framework used by businesses and organizations to analyze external factors

that may impact their operations. PESTLE is an acronym that stands for Political, Economic, Sociocultural,

Technological, Legal, and Environmental factors.

Each of these factors can have a significant impact on a business, and by analyzing them, a company can

better understand the opportunities and threats that exist in its operating environment.

Here is a brief description of each of the factors in a PESTLE analysis:

Political factors include government attitude to employment, consumer protection, the environment,

taxation, trade restrictions, societal reforms, as well as the burden of bureaucracy and the level of

corruption.

▪ Regulations: The Kitchen crew app will need to comply with food safety regulations and licensing

requirements.

▪ Taxation: The kitchen crew app may be subject to taxes on the revenue earned by the chefs.

Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology Mini Project 1

Social factors include demographics, population, employment, income, education and career trends, social

and cultural conventions. These changes can be subtle and hard to identify.

▪ Lifestyle changes: An increasing number of people may be willing to pay for a personal chef due

to busy schedules and changing attitudes towards cooking.

▪ Health concerns: Consumers may be looking for healthier meal options, which can be provided

by personal chefs.

▪ Cultural differences: Personal chef services may be more popular in some cultures than others

Technological factors include the development of technology in manufacture and infrastructure. Change

in technology happens more and more frequently.

• Mobile technology: The personal chef app will need to have a user-friendly and functional mobile

app for customers to order and manage their meals.

• Artificial Intelligence: AI can be used to personalize the meal plans based on customer

preferences.

• Payment Systems: The app will need to have a secure and reliable payment system.

Environmental factors include infrastructures, energy availability and cost, and the ecological

consequences of production processes.

Sustainable sourcing: The app may need to consider sustainable sourcing for ingredients and packaging

to appeal to environmentally conscious customers.

Waste management: The app may need to develop a plan for managing waste generated by the meal

preparation and delivery process.

1. No carbon footprint

2. 100% recyclable

Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology Mini Project 1

3. Fewer resources

4. High efficiency

Legal factors include current and impending legislation that may affect the industry.

Intellectual property: The personal chef app will need to protect its intellectual property, such as its unique

recipes and branding.

Liability: The app may need to consider liability issues if a customer gets sick from a meal prepared by

one of the chefs.

Economic: Following are the economic impacts-

1. Save the time as well as convenient for users of the app.

2. Consumer income: Higher incomes may lead to an increased demand for premium personal chef

services. Inflation: Inflation can increase the cost of food and supplies for the chefs.

3. Unemployment rate: A high unemployment rate may reduce the number of potential customers for the

app.

4. Ecological factor (saves resources)

5. Very high load-bearing capacity.

Overall, a personal chef app can benefit from the increasing demand for convenience and healthy food

options, but will need to navigate various external factors, including regulations, cultural differences, and

environmental concerns.

Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology Mini Project 1

ORGANISATIONAL FEASIBILITY

An organizational feasibility analysis is done to see if a new firm has enough management expertise,

organizational competency, and resources to launch successfully. It establishes the legal and corporate

structure of a company. It can also include information about the founders' professional backgrounds, the

company's principals, and the abilities they'll bring to the company's functions. The following items should

be included in an organizational feasibility analysis:

• The description of the business structure

• The description of the organizational structure

• Internal and external business practices and principles

• Professional talents and resumes

In this field, there are two major factors to consider:

Management Process
It refers to a management team's or a single manager's overall management abilities. The term "prowess"

refers to the knowledge or ability required to complete a task successfully. "Management" refers to anything

that needs to be managed in the business world.

Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology Mini Project 1

Whether it's a single entrepreneur or a larger group, a new business should assess the prowess, or skill, of

its initial management team.

The Crucial Elements of Management Prowess-

It necessitates honesty and candor in the self-evaluation of the persons who will be founding the company.

The following are the three most essential factors in this area:

• Relevant educational background

• Relevant industry experience

• Prior entrepreneurial experience

• Rich professional and social network

• Creative and agile thinking among the management team.

Management team
Necessary skill: Great customer service is the holy grail of business. Once you have it, it seems like it has

the power to reveal all the secrets of success. We have a separate customer support department which

possess all the necessary skills. 3 important qualities of our customer support department are (P’s):

professionalism, patience, and a “people-first” attitude.

Experience: Chefs hired for our app typically have five or more years of experience.

Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology Mini Project 1

Human Resources:
Human resource is the core of every business. Without the people, the kitchen crew app cannot sustain.

NUMBER OF STAFFS & THEIR SALARIES

Staff Number of Employees Salary of Employees

Customer support staff 8 6,000

Technical Manager 5 15,000

Logistic team 2 8,000

Head Manager 1 9,000

Website Handler 1 10,000

Total Employees= 17 Salary= 48,000

Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology Mini Project 1

FINANCIAL FEASIBILITY

A financial feasibility study is essentially a tool used to introduce outsiders to your business plan or idea,

whatever it may be. The study details the amount of money necessary to fund your project, along with

where that money is coming from and how it will be spent once it is acquired. This assessment of potential

cash flow can often reveal undiscovered issues with your business plan and guide you towards jumping

over those hurdles.

Further into the business plan, a thorough financial analysis should be conducted. At the early stage of a

business idea, a board financial analysis is sufficient.

Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology Mini Project 1

CAPITAL REQUIREMENTS
A business requires capital to purchase assets, acquire required resources and operate. Capital exists in

many forms such as equipment, office, cash, and inventory. New ventures need to determine how much

capital they need to start and run the business in the first year.

For the initial starting of the kitchen crew app the amount of capital that is required to be invested in are

15-25lakhs rupees.

When capital requirements are identified, entrepreneurs need to define the sources of capital.

There are many sources for capital, but they can be classified into equity capital and debt capital.

Equity capital represents owners’ personal investment in the business. For the kitchen crew equity capital

is being invested in the form of:

• Family funds worth 6 lakhs

• Personal Savings worth 10 lakhs

Debt capital refers to the wealth that an entrepreneur borrows. Debts need to be paid back with interest.

For the kitchen crew debt capital being invested is:

• A bank loan worth 4-5 lakhs rupees which is a personal loan from a non-banking

financial institution.

• A gold loan worth 4 lakhs rupees from manappuram finance limited.

While debt capital allows the entrepreneur to keep ownership, it is considered a liability.

Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology Mini Project 1

MARKET FEASIBILITY

The term “market feasibility” refers to the process of assessing the feasibility of a new or enhanced product.

This is done to understand the behavioral patterns of consumers and the way in which consumers expect

the services and goods to be delivered. Not only do businesses want to gather information about consumers

based on their products, but they also look at how the markets are changing and market influences that

would change their decisions and decisions of their consumers.

The Purpose of Market Research

Even though the process of going through market research is time consuming and may result in extra costs,

it eliminates the chances of companies making bad decisions and launching products or services that would

not economically benefit them or satisfy any consumers.

7 Ps of Market Feasibility:
The marketing mix is the most essential instrument for management in developing a marketing strategy

and selecting effective strategies. Product, Price, Place, Promotion, Physical Evidence, People, and Process

are the seven basic components. To achieve the best results, managers should combine all 7ps and apply

them to their decision-making strategy.

Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology Mini Project 1

Product: In this case, the Product is the Kitchen Crew app itself, including its features and benefits. The

Kitchen Crew app provides users with personalized meal plans, recipe suggestions, nutritional advice, and

other features that help them achieve their health and wellness goals. The app's features might include a

user-friendly interface, personalized recommendations, easy payment options, and customer support.

Price: The Price of the Kitchen Crew app refers to the cost of using the app. The pricing strategy should

be based on factors such as the app's value proposition, the target market, and the competition. For example,

the Kitchen Crew app might offer different pricing plans based on the number of meals per week, with

higher-priced plans offering more personalized features such as consultations with nutritionists or chefs.

Promotion: Promotion refers to the tactics used to promote the Kitchen Crew app to potential users.

These might include digital advertising, social media marketing, email campaigns, influencer partnerships,

and referral programs. The app's promotion should be targeted towards the target market, with messaging

that highlights the app's unique features and benefits.

Place: Place refers to the channels through which users can access the Kitchen Crew app. In this case, the

app would be available for download on the App Store or Google Play. The Kitchen Crew app might also

be accessible through the website, social media channels, or other digital platforms.

Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology Mini Project 1

People: People refer to the individuals involved in creating and delivering the Kitchen Crew app,

including the app's developers, designers, customer support staff, and chefs or nutritionists. The Kitchen

Crew app should ensure that its team is highly skilled and customer-focused, providing users with

exceptional service and support.

Process: Process refers to the steps involved in creating and delivering the Kitchen Crew app. This

includes app development, meal planning and preparation, customer service, and other processes involved

in providing users with a seamless and enjoyable experience.

Physical Evidence: Physical Evidence refers to the tangible and intangible elements that support the

Kitchen Crew app's credibility and quality. In this case, physical evidence might include customer

testimonials, reviews, ratings, and other social proof that highlights the app's effectiveness and value.

Overall, by applying the 7Ps of marketing to the Kitchen Crew app, the app can develop a comprehensive

and effective marketing strategy that targets its audience, communicates its unique value proposition, and

delivers an exceptional user experience.

Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology Mini Project 1

STP- Segmentation, Targeting and Positioning

The STP model, also known as the Segmentation, Targeting, and Positioning model, is a popular marketing

framework that helps businesses identify and target specific market segments with tailored products and

messaging. In the case of the kitchen Crew app, the STP model can be applied as follows:

Segmentation: The first step in the STP model is to segment the market into distinct groups of consumers

with similar needs, characteristics, and behaviors. In the case of the kitchen Crew app, potential segments

could include:

1.Busy professionals who have little time to cook but still want healthy and delicious meals.

2.Health-conscious consumers who want personalized meal plans and nutrition advice.

3.Foodies and cooking enthusiasts who want to learn new recipes and techniques.

To segment the market, the kitchen Crew app could use a variety of criteria such as age, income, lifestyle,

dietary preferences, and geographic location.

Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology Mini Project 1

Targeting: Once the market has been segmented, the next step is to select one or more segments to target

with the app's marketing efforts. In this case, the kitchen Crew app might decide to focus on the busy

professional segment, as it represents a large and growing market with significant demand for personalized

meal solutions.

To effectively target this segment, the kitchen Crew app might employ a range of marketing tactics such as

targeted ads on social media and search engines, email marketing campaigns, and influencer partnerships

with health and wellness experts.

Positioning: Finally, the kitchen Crew app must develop a unique and compelling positioning strategy

that differentiates it from other meal planning and delivery services in the market. The app's positioning

should be based on the specific needs and desires of the target segment and should communicate the unique

benefits of using the app.

For example, the kitchen Crew app might position itself as the most convenient and customizable meal

planning solution for busy professionals, offering a range of healthy and delicious meal options that can be

tailored to their specific dietary needs and preferences. The app might also highlight its expert team of chefs
