The document discusses two videos about architectural design and forms of the future. The first video talks about recreating architectural sections in the style of Renzo Piano using Photoshop. It emphasizes capturing the internal shine, adding human figures for scale, and subtle shadows. The second video discusses the LEGO House and how it was designed to be interactive. It then talks about various architectural projects around the world that adapt to their environments, use organic forms, reduce energy consumption, and serve sustainability goals.

Creating Architechtural Sections like Renzo Piano
Week 7
-The person in the video tells about a presentation that he
made in one of the student sessions.Where he says that he got the inspiration from Renzo Piano. The whole project was done in photoshop through Milano(platform). He says”Remember that inspiration has do it by including it in your style and work flow and not copying it directly”.It will save you more time compared to Archicad or Revit in terms of conceptual designs. For this section ,there are 3 things that we need to take care of. *The first is the internal shine, the shine that comes from the street and enters the building and this is done with water paints and soft brushes so that it looks like the ground shines. In photoshop we don’t need to be exact, so we can go beyond the limits where we will get something artistic-he says.Renzo’s Piano section in the original has a green accent color but in the video section he uses yellow. The second point is the human figures, where this will help to give scale to the drawing and emphasize it.Where the figures can be made in color as well as in black. *The third point,Really to finalize this drawing which has to do with adding a subtle shadow below the elements of the individual cut.Where there are many ways to do it but how to we simply use the Marquito rectangular mark, the accuracy is not very important here either. In conclusion, we had a clarification on the use of photoshop in cutting.
Floating cities, the LEGO House and other
architectural forms of the future Week 8 The person in the video is an employee of a company called LEGO. A very successful company. The Brick House was built from Lego. What they tried to do was to design a building that would be as interactive as attractive and as playful as it's Lego itself with these kinds of play areas connected on the ceiling. Billund citizens can roam freely without a ticket and it's probably one of the only museums in the world where you're allowed to touch all the objects. but the Danish word for design is "formgivning" which literally means to give shape to what has not yet been given shape. In other words, they give shape to the future, and what I like about Lego is that it is a tool that empowers the child to build his/her world and then live in that world through play and invite his/her friends to you come together. and this is exactly what formgivning is. Inspired by LEGO we have built a social housing project in Copenhagen where we stacked wooden blocks next to each other leaving spaces between them with additional ceiling and balcony height and gently moving the blocks in in fact, we can create any organic form by adapting to any urban context, because adaptability is perhaps one of the strongest drivers of architecture. Another example is here in Vancouver, we were asked to look at where the Granville Bridge crosses as it touches the center of the city. There is a 100 foot barrier from the bridge because the city wants to make sure no one looks into the traffic on the bridge, there is a park where we can't cast any shade. So in the end we are left with a small triangular footprint almost small to build. But then what, if the minimum distance of 100 feet is really about the minimum distance once we get 100 feet in the air, we can raise the building back out. And so we do when you drive over the bridge it's like someone is pulling a curtain. We call this the Sistine Chapel of street art, an upside-down art gallery. In Norway, we're building a museum that stretches across a river and allows people to take a sort of journey through the exhibits as they pass from one side to the other. the sculpture park on the other. In China we built a headquarters for an energy company and we designed the facade like a fabric, it is wavy so that in front of the dominant direction of the sun it is all pitch black cloud away from the sun is all made of glass. And this simple idea due to the geometry of the facade reduces energy consumption by 30 percent, you can say that it makes the building look elegant. It is an architecture that is adapted to its climate. We also built a thermal power plant which will turn waste into energy and where you can ski on the thermal power plant. We are also building our small project, basically there are 9 shipyards in Poland, then we have passed it across the Baltic Sea and anchored it in the port. of Copenhagen, which is now home to 12 students, each with a view of the water. These and many other projects, such as in New York Manhattan, were designed in such a way that everything serves cleanliness, nature protection and climate adaptation.
Feedback: We have the power to adapt to change and we have the
power to shape our future. Closing statement that I like very much and very motivating
