The community I choose is Ghent.

I choose big city because this is where I spent my weeks and go to

school. I will especially focus on the section of Ghent with the square around, this is the place where I
spent the most time.

Ghent is a beautiful big city with a lot of different little environments. There are a lot of parks and
green places in the city which I think is a social determinant of health, you can clear you’re mind over
there or just meet friends and family to spent a nice time together over there. Those things are verry
important for the mental health.
But, on the other side there is a lot of traffic and big roads leading from and to Ghent. Those aren’t as
good as the parks in Ghent itself for the environment. Those big roads could be a bad influence to
the health.

Here we also find the UZ Ghent, this is a university hospital where three determinants of health come
together. It helps decreasing the unemployment because there are a lot of jobs in this health care
institution and it gives student the opportunity to learn in a real hospitality environment.
