Just some NEWS about Sika AnchorFix® …

Sales 2004
Our Sika AnchorFix range had a very good start in 2004. In the first two months, January and February, 22 Sika
companies around the world have ordered from EXCHEM
more than 135’000 cartridges of Sika AnchorFix.
Construction

Sika AnchorFix-1 is still the leading product with

orders of 104’000 cartridges in the first two months of
2004. But also the sales of Sika AnchorFix-2 and Sika
AnchorFix-3 are about to take off now. This positive start
let us expect total sales of about 800’000 cartridges by
the end of this year representing a growth of +45%.
Remember HILTI is selling about 8 Mio. cartridges of their
Hilti HIT HY system and Sika has just entered the Anchoring Adhesive business.

Approvals
Regarding Sika AnchorFix-2 we still expect to receive the ETAG approval by the end of April 2004. As soon as we have
it we will let you know about it. Also the process to receive the ICBO approval is on a good way now; we still expect to
receive it by the third quarter of 2004

New Packaging
Our Anchoring Adhesive range is now complete, at least for the next 6 months. We are currently working on a project to
fill the Sika AnchorFix-3 also into a more simple cartridge system, which allows to apply the product with a standard
sealant gun. Sika US is already using such a system for their locally produced and filled Sika AnchorFix-3. Most probably
we will start with a 250 ml cartridge system. About the introduction of this new packaging you will hear within the
next 4 - 6 months.
In any case we will continue to supply the 400 ml side-by-side catridge of Sika AnchorFix
3 until all customers would
have switched to the new packaging.
 Corporate Product Engineer
For those who do not know yet, Marcel Aubert, who so far was technically responsible for the Sika AnchorFix program,
has left Sika Services AG. Until we have found an appropriate successor, Heinz Bänziger, Head Corporate Technical
Department, will answer any technical questions about Sika AnchorFix.

Promotion tools
In the Distributor News No. 53 on pages 10 and 11 we have made available to you a big varity of Sika AnchorFix
promotion tools. Many Sika companies have profited from that offer.

customers.

As well I would like to inform you that we still have 700 units of the inflatable Sika AnchorFix-1 / -2 cartridge in stock.
The ex works Switzerland price per unit is still Euro 11.00.

 Market News
FISCHER Italy, which so far was buying “Sika AnchorFix-1” from EXCHEM, is just about to introduce in the Italian market
a new Anchoring Adhesive, called T-BOND, in a similar packaging like ours. FISCHER is producing this system on their
own and has drastically reduced purchases from EXCHEM. EXCHEM expects that FISCHER will extend the sales of
their new T-BOND product to France and Spain later this year. EXCHEM is currently testing the T-BOND product and will
work out sales arguments to go against. About the market prices of T-BOND we do not know yet.
