READERS’ THEATER
1. Readers Theater is an oral form of spoken theater, with one or more persons reading aloud from a script, and using vocal expression to convey
the story. It is a style of theatre in which the actors may or may not memorize their lines. In Readers Theatre, actors use vocal expression to help
the audience understand the story, rather than visual storytelling using props and costumes. Like storytelling, Readers Theater can create images
by suggestion that could never be realistically portrayed on stage. However, you are free to use simple props and actions to help the telling of the
story.
2. The contest is open to Grade 7 students.
3. Piece for the contest will be provided by the Grade 7 Teachers.
