Non-Government Agencies or Industries and their activities in support social and

environmental concerns:
1. Green Peace Philippines -the main objectives of Greenpeace in the Philippines is toprevent
pollution and abuse of the earth’s ocean, land, air and fresh water. End all nuclear threats.
Promote peace, global disarmament and non-violence. In the environment,green peace ban
commercial whaling, convince the world's leaders to stop nuclear testing, protect Antarctica,
and so much more.
2. World Wide Fund for Nature(WWF)- help local communities conserve the natural resources they
depend upon; transform markets and policies toward sustainability; and protect and restore
species and their habitats.
3. Mother Earth Foundation (MEF) - an NGO of men and women from the Philippines who seek to
raise the level of public awareness on environmental issues and mobilize people to act positively
on the resolution of these issues.
4. Earth Island Institute- provides support to environmental action projects and to the next
generation of environmental leaders in order to achieve solutions to the crises threatening the
survival of life on Earth.
5. Philippines Biodiversity Conservation Foundation works to restore natural habitats and aims to
educate the public on how to protect wildlife from feasible harm.
So far, they have completed programs to conserve rare species such as Philippine bats, Calamian
deer, and cloud rats.

The Difference in the mission of the Philippine Red Cross and San Miguel Corporation.
1.San Miguel Corporation -its mission is to provide goods and vital services well within the reach of
every Filipino, making every day life a celebration.

2. Philippine Red Cross will provide a sustained and effective humanitarian service committed to build
resilient communities, ran by well-trained and dedicated staff and volunteers imbued with integrity,
equipped with the necessary logistics and the maximum usage of information technology.

Social Environmental Program of Villar Foundation


1.The Villar Social Institute for Poverty Alleviation and Governance or Villar SIPAG is the corporate
social responsibility arm of Vista Land. It helps empower Filipinos to overcome poverty in all its forms
and manifestations. Villar SIPAG’s key advocates are livelihood generation (e.g. coconet weaving,
waterlily basket weaving, processing of citronella oil, parol making, kitchen and garden waste
composting), job creation, environment protection, assistance to Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs),
development of community enterprises, church-building and, agricultural training through Villar SIPAG
Farm School in Las Piñas/Cavite and Bulacan.
