Miss Caroline had a difficult relationship with some of her students. She made Scout feel guilty for being more educated than others. She also lent Walter money for lunch that he could never pay back due to his family's poverty. Additionally, Miss Caroline became terrified by a small bug and cried, showing her lack of respect for Burris Ewell and students from poorer families.

Miss Caroline is Scouts teacher she and scout don’t exactly have the best relationship with each other. Firstly Miss Caroline becomes very displeased and makes Scout feel guilty for being educated .Then she offers Walter [Walter’s family is large and poor ] a quarter to buy lunch, telling him that he can pay her back tomorrow. Walter will never be able to pay the teacher back or bring a lunch to school because of his Ecnomic condition. Then she becomes terrified when a tiny bug, or “cootie,” crawls out of a boy’s hair. Burris Ewell [who is a part of the Ewell clan which is even poorer and less respectable than the Cunning ham clan] which in the end makes her cry.
