_Back in 2010, Mr. Diaz was involve with The NPA where he committed the
crime. A warrant of arrest was issued on 2020 for his arrest and detainment.
The next schedule hearing is scheduled for Jan. 19, 2023 under Judge Leonor
for commencement of trial and charge of the offence.

Mr. Diaz is aware that the next step will proceed in Mambusao as he was
advice by the PAO lawyer of the charge against him.

_Back in 2022, Mr. Asyong was involve with in a robbery using a motorcycle
in the Area of Tapaz – Mambusao and ended with the death of the victim. A
warrant of arrest was issued on 2022 for his arrest and detainment. Based on
the statement of the PDL (persons deprived of liberty) the case has not been
remitted to the court as they are in the middle of talks with the victim (out of
court settlement.

have been apprehended/detained? Why?
Mr. Asyong is aware that he does not have a PAO lawyer to represent
him. He states that his family is currently settling the case before it
proceeds to trial. However, he is unaware of any actions, nor has he ask
representation for legal assistance.

b. What do you think are the factors that will affect (in favor and against)
your case? Why? Mr. Asyong did not respond or answered this question
and insist that he is awaiting his family’s assistance and advice on this
matter on whether this can be settled before the case goes to trial.

c. Do you believe that you will be given a fair trial/treatment of this case?
Why? Mr. Asyong was unsure, but relies family’s assistance and advice on
this matter.

XIII. Facts of the Case (What, where, when, how and why)
_Back in 2010, Mr. Melchor was involve with in to separate incidents in
Cavite. However, Mr. Melchor while in the middle of his hearing for both
charges fled to Capiz without informing the court or his lawyer. Thereupon a
contempt of court order was issued against him and for his arrest. He was
arrested in December and is currently awaiting his processing for bail which is
expected to arrive next week while awaiting the order to report back to
Cavite for trial.

a. Are you aware of the next legal procedure that you will take after you
have been apprehended/detained? Why?
Mr. Melchor is aware of the legal procedure with the PAO lawyer (from
Cavite) to represent him. Awaiting Bail so that he can report to Cavite for
the continuance of his trial.

b. What do you think are the factors that will affect (in favor and against)
your case? Why? Mr. Melchor responded or answered this question saying
that his flight will affect his case but is unsure of the effects since he has
not talked with his PAO lawyer for further details.

c. Do you believe that you will be given a fair trial/treatment of this case?
Why? Mr. Asyong was sure, but relies with his PAO lawyer assistance and
advice on this matter.
