INSTA SALT por Vernet
Usted tiene en sus manos uno de los productos clásicos de
la línea plástica de Vernet: el Insta Salt. Con él, podrá
realizar un efecto memorable para el público.
EFECTO
El mago se presenta con un pocillo de café, diciendo que
estuvo buscando el elemento que necesitaba para
presentarles el efecto que tenía en mente, pero que no
encontró más que materiales relacionados a él. Sólo
encontró el pocillo (lo muestra), una cucharita (la saca de
su bolsillo y la muestra) pero no lo que buscaba: azúcar.
“Por esta razón –comenta- me veo obligado a hacerla
aparecer”. Al decir esto, cierra en forma de puño la mano
izquierda y con la cucharita como varita mágica hace un
gesto.
Inmediatamente, comienza a caer una leve lluvia de sal
que va depositándose dentro del pocillo.
El mago prueba lo que acaba de aparecer y, pese a notar
que es sal, decide que igual puede presentar el efecto que
tenía en mente.
Es entonces cuando toma de su bolsillo un pañuelo negro,
y lo coloca sobre su puño izquierdo formando un hueco
en él. Inmediatamente, toma el pocillo con la sal y
comienza a verter el contenido dentro del pañuelo.
Enseguida, tras unos pases mágicos, muestra que el pu-
ñado de sal ha desaparecido completamente.
De pronto, el mago señala un punto en el aire, toma algo
invisible de allí con su mano derecha y, de pronto, una
nueva lluvia de sal comienza a aparecer de su puño.
MATERIAL
Usted recibe:
-Un FALSO PULGAR CLÁSICO Vernet.
-Un Insta Salt. Este gimmick, consiste en una pequeña
esfera de plástico con una ranura en su superficie y una
cavidad en el sector opuesto. Fig. 1. A través de la ranura, y
gracias al pequeño embudo también incluido, usted
podrá cargar de sal el gimmick y tenerlo listo para usar en
cualquier momento.
La cavidad, le permitirá girar el gimmick o descargarlo –de
ser necesario- como muestran las figuras 2, 3 y 4.
-El gimmick también viene acompañado de un embudito
para cargar la sal.
-Para esta rutina, necesitará también un pocillo de café y
una cucharita.
PREPARACIÓN
-Cargue de sal el gimmick, con ayuda del embudito. Tras
esto, colóquele la cucharita tal como muestra la figura 5.
Guarde esto en el bolsillo derecho de su saco.
-Coloque el Thumb Tip Classic y un pañuelo negro (por el
contraste, aunque puede ser de cualquier color) en el
bolsillo izquierdo del pantalón.
PRESENTACIÓN
Comente que estuvo buscando el material para el efecto
que quería mostrar ahora, pero que solo pudo encontrar
elementos relacionados a él. Muestre entonces el pocillo y
tome la cucharita del bolsillo, procurando cubrir el
gimmick con la mano (Fig. 6).
Traslade la cucharita a la mano izquierda, cuidando de no
mostrar el Insta Salt e, inmediatamente, vuelva a tomarla
con la derecha pero, esta vez, dejando cargado el gimmick
(Fig. 7). Diga que deberá hacer aparecer lo que necesita y
haga unos pases con la cucharita alrededor de su puño
izquierdo. Inmediatamente, presione sobre el gimmick,
haciendo que la sal comience a caer dentro del pocillo
(Fig. 8).
En este momento tiene dos oportunidades para descargar
el Insta Salt. En primer lugar, puede abrir la palma
manteniendo el gimmick como muestra la figura 4 dando
por sentado que no hay nada más en ella. Luego, trasladar
la cucharita a la mano izquierda y guardarla al bolsillo
dejando, al mismo tiempo, el Insta Salt.
Otra opción es descargarla, realizando los movimientos
que muestran las figuras 2, 3 y 4. Estando el gimmick en la
mano, comente que al presionar encima de su puño, la
lluvia de sal comienza a detenerse. En este momento, lleve
su dedo medio en la cavidad del Insta Salt, como muestra
la figura 2. Inmediatamente, pliegue el dedo extrayendo
el gimmick de la mano (Fig. 3) y manténgalo entre la
palma presionando con la horca del pulgar. (Fig.4)
Hasta el momento nadie sabe que, lo que acaba de caer
de su mano es, en realidad, sal. Por ello, introduzca el
dedo en el pocillo, para que algunos granos se le peguen y,
lléveselo a la boca para probarlo. Comente entonces, algo
desilusionado, que se trata de sal. “No obstante, con esto
podremos hacer igual el efecto que tenía en mente”
Retire el pañuelo del bolsillo y, al hacerlo, colóquese el
Falso Pulgar. Muestre el pañuelo por ambos lados y cubra
su puño izquierdo como muestra la figura 9. Con el pulgar
realice un hueco en el pañuelo, dejando el Falso Pulgar
dentro (Fig.10).
Inmediatamente, tome el pocillo y vierta el contenido
dentro del hueco (en realidad, dentro del Falso Pulgar). “Es
importante que esté bien compacta”, diga y presione con
el pulgar derecho, colocándose el Thumb Tip. Realice un
gesto mágico y despliegue el pañuelo mostrando que la sal
ha desaparecido.
Tras esto, señale un punto en el aire, cierre su mano de-
recha dejando el Thumb Tip entre los dedos e incline el
puño dejando caer la sal, nuevamente, dentro del pocillo.
Finalmente, vuelva a colocarse el Thumb Tip en el pulgar
derecho y muestre la mano vacía.
Nota: Es posible, además, combinar esta rutina con otros efectos o
elementos. Por ejemplo, es muy interesante utilizar el “Magnetic Thumb
Tip Vernet” para magnetizar la cucharita usada y, también, es posible
realizar el efecto de desaparición y aparición de azúcar en el pocillo de
café de David Williamson. Para ello, consulte su libro “ Williamson's
Wonders”.
