V. OBJECTIVES
GENERAL OBJECTIVES
• Each problem encounter the community along the shoreline can
be transformed into a positive objective.
• To improve the safe and standard of living.
• To protect shorelines from damaging winds, waves and floods.
• To give awareness to the community about the importance of
mangrove forest.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
• To plant 500 seedlings of Mangrove Tree on the coastline of
Barangay San Isidro Norte Binmaley, Pangasinan.
VI. PROJECT DESCRIPTION
A. BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

The community of Barangay San


Isidro Norte Binmaley, Pangasinan
always encounter strong winds,
waves and floods every time that
there is a storm surge, especially to
those who live in coastal areas.
B. RATIONALE
Storm surges is very dangerous to
those who live near the sea. It may
destroy their houses and livelihood . Also,
their lives are at risk.
Mangrove forest is very essential
not only for the ecosystem, but also for
the protection of the community .
This project only focuses for the
benefits of the community against storm
surges.
C. BENEFITS DERIVED FROM THE
PROJECT

METHODOLOGY
1. Survey

- The group 5 interviewed 1 resident, as the representative of the


Barangay about their situation.

2. BFAR Bolinao and Barangay of San Isidro Norte, Binamaley Pangasinan

- With the Approval of BFAR Bolinao in releasing 500 seedlings of


Mangroves and the Approval of Barangay San Isidro Norte, Binamaley
Pangasinan to plant mangroves in selected areas of their Barangay this
Project Proposal will be possible.

3. Participation of the Residents of the Barangay

- The group 5 will ask for the participation of the residents of the
Barangay in planting mangroves to make planting fast, since there are
500 seedlings of mangroves to be planted. The group 5 needs at least 50
participants including the members of the group.
