STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

It is indeed true that with proper nurturing of our curiosity we can transform a fascinating
idea into an excellent information technology faculty. I strongly believe in this and have
applied it throughout my undergraduate studies in Computer Engineering. Since my first
introduction to the technology of computers, I was quite fascinated and this fascination has
developed a latent interest for knowing more and increasing my knowledge in this field. I
have always tried to explore the expanse of my field and quench the zest of my curiosity. But
in the end, my hunger, far from being satiated, has always increased. Now, as I stand on the
threshold of my professional career with my undergraduate course completion, I am eagerly
looking forward to graduate studies that can take me to the frontiers of my field.

For the past few years, I have maintained a conceptual continuity in my academic career. I
have completed my 4 years of Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering at Sardar
Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Technology, Vadodara, Gujarat. It is one of the leading
Engineering colleges in Gujarat. S.V.I.T. is approved by All India Council for Technical
Education (AICTE) and is affiliated with Gujarat Technological University (GTU).I have
secured 7.93 CGPA (on a scale of 10). I completed my schooling from Bright School, which
is one of the reputed schools of Vadodara. I had secured 86.31% and 77.00% in 10th and 12th
grade respectively.

As a part of my final year project work, I have completed a unique and challenged project
titled “Infrastructure & Service Portal”, at Multi-National Company, Larsen & Toubro (L&T)
Hydrocarbon Engineering Limited, L&T Knowledge City, Vadodara, Gujarat and I got „AB‟
grade for this project in final year result. My work was appreciated at L&T Hydrocarbon
Engineering Limited by my guide. Further, I am proficient in C, C++,C#, JAVA, CSS,
HTML, .NET. During my undergraduate studies, I studied subjects such as Digital Logic
Design, Database Management System, Operating System, Computer Network, Information
Security, Compiler Design, Parallel Processing, Distributed System and Android
Development which have helped me to develop a strong background of the fundamentals
of Engineering. Furthermore, as a part of my academics, I got selected for International
Education Program (IEP‟14) by Gujarat Technological University in 3rd year of
undergraduate program and I got opportunity to study two subjects at Laurentian University,
Sudbury, one of the reputed University of Ontario, Canada for two months program with
Scholarships.

To get real time work environment knowledge, I have been working at PSTRONICS since
last one year on Production Management Software as Jr. Software Developer. That had
helped me to imply my theoretical concepts to real time problems. Pstronics-Perfect
Solutions for Electronics initiated by PS ventures have operated at the confluence of
electronics, IT, automation, image processing and other engineering services providing
electronics solutions, IT design and Automation for purpose-driven companies and
organizations. I had the opportunity to gain some knowledge of Visual Basic and .Net. I had
successfully completed a course „Certification in ASP.Net‟ in year 2015, which was offered
by Baroda Institute of Technology.

In my view, besides academics, extracurricular activities play an important role in building

our personality. I had participated in workshop based on „Networking and Wi-Fi Technology‟
organized by Indian Institute of Hardware Technology in 2011. I had been instrumental in
inter college tech-fest PRAKARSH as an event coordinator and promotion coordinator in
2012and 2013 respectively. Computer Society of India organized Technical Festival named
SAKSHAM in our college; I had been instrumental in an event as an event co-ordinator in
same year. Progressively, I was selected as a Non-Technical event head in inter department
tech-fest VISION and an inter college tech-fest PRAKARSH in 2013 and 2014 respectively.

The US education is well known for stimulating intelligence and creativity in a student. I am
confident that studying in USA would help me constantly incorporate new developments,
assisting me to keep pace with all the new innovative skills. I am highly motivated and ready
to take on the mantle of a researcher. University Of South-Florida is a top tier research
university as per the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Studies which assures
me that your institution offers excellent professors, laboratory facilities and exceptional
research work. I hope to hone my skills for the purpose at the esteemed University of South
Florida and under the guidance of stalwarts. I have read and understood your work and find it
to be in exact synergy with my plans for future. I now look forward to an opportunity of
being able to do so.

I believe that I possess the aptitude, discipline and perseverance to sustain the motivation and
drive needed for a Master‟s degree. It is my conviction that through sheer diligence, I will
surely have the capability to make a positive contribution to your university. I hope your
committee will consider my application for admission in Engineering Management for fall
