Proposal to introduce new IED Policy.
The IED new policy is geared towards streaming the running of the department across the Academy.
Key features of the policy.
Determining eligibility – the purpose of these guidelines is to provide individualized education
program (IEP) teams with the criteria to determine if a child meets the eligibility requirements for having special needs learning and that the child will be able or no to benefit from the current Oshwal Academy IED facilities. Special needs Programme-This policy is rooted in the school guiding statements in fostering in the student a spirit of self-reliance, independence and providing them with skills for lifelong learning. Transition planning guide- The transition from school to work, further education, and community living can be particularly challenging for some exceptional students. The probability of a successful transition is significantly increased when schools work with parents, employers, community agencies, and providers of further education to develop coordinated transition plans for exceptional students. This guideline sets out requirements for the transition-planning process.
