What I have learned

To transform a linear equation ax + by = c form into y = mx + b form, add the

additive INVERS of ax and then, SIMPLIFY the resulting equation.

To transform a linear equation y = mx + b form into ax + by = c form, A×

the additive inverse of ADD and then, simplify the resulting equation.
What I can do
What I have learned
To graph a Linear Equation in Two Variables using its Two Points, assume a

value to X and solve for Y . Determine at least 2 points then plot these

What’s More
What I have learned
To graph a Linear Equation in two variables using its intercepts, find the

X-intercept by solving the X making y = 0 in the equation. Make this (x, 0).

Next, find the the y-intercept by solving Y making x = 0 in the equation. Make this

(0, y). Plot the (x, 0) and (0, y) on a rectangular plane. Make a LINE through

these points to obtain the graph.

Lesson 6.4

What’s More
What I have learned

To graph a Linear Equation in two variables in a form y = mx + b, plot the

point (0, b) on a cartesian plane and determine the SLOPE . If the m is positive y x, RISE UPWARD y-units
from the point (0, b) and walk x-units to the right. If the m is negative y x, RISE DOWNWARD y-units from
the point (0, b) and walk x-units to the right. This makes another point. Make a LINE through this point
and to point (0, b).
