Pedagogy refers to the way of teaching students, whether it is the theory or practice of
educating. Pedagogy is shaped by educator's teaching beliefs and involves their
understanding of culture and different learning styles. It is a relationship between the culture
and techniques of learning. It is essential for students to have meaningful classroom
relationships to build on prior learning. The main aim of pedagogy is to build on previous
learning of the students and work on the development of skills and attitudes of the learners.
Pedagogy enables the students to get a thorough understanding of the subject and helps them
in applying those learning in their daily lives outside of the classroom.

The speaker shares some experiences about strategies on how to handle positively students in
a classroom since students are mostly and easily distracted by their phones and social media
especially during classes by reminding the students about the classroom rules. Work in a
group in a class is now allowed. He also shared when will be the beginning of observation of
classes of the teacher. It will start on February for 1 st observation in 3rd quarter and 2nd
observation will be during 4th quarter. There will be changes of the indicators of the Class
Observation. The 1st to 6th indicators will be observed in 1st class observation. There must be
an across curriculum; reading comprehension/literacy and numeracy skills; applying HOTS
questions; and collaboration learning. The 2nd observation will be using ICT; conducting pre-
test and post-test; and some of the indicators must be measured too.

The speaker guides the science teachers about on the revision of the guidelines for RPMS or
IPCRF for 2022-2023. There are 15 objectives in total that must be observed in the MOVs.
