1 Welcome

2 Minutes of the Previous Meeting
The minutes from the previous meeting in May has been approved. All
3 Matters Arising from the Last Meeting:
All Action requirements had been completed or carried forward.
a) Captain and Committee Monthly ‘Actions’ Check. Carried over AH
b) PE halfway house, MR to scope, possible EGU grant. Ongoing. MR
c) CH wildlife project, awaiting update. CH
d) Move back to 10 seniors comps per year by October 2023. All
e) Contact Management for approval of nomination of next year’s Vice
Captain. AH done. Approved by NS.
f) Capt & Past Capt Trophy held and won by ED, AH
JC,ED, KC, BS, PT,AH & PE in attendance, discussion following very
constructive.
Discussed, Introduction of 3 medal comps a year, some may be comps such
as Ian Brown (which was always meant to be medal) discussed morning
meetings and a potential senior Capt Captain’s Day.
g) Check Booking of Fairway Suite for AGM.(should have been done last
October) AH done by email.
h) Fixtures Secretary to contact other Clubs to agree dates for next AH
year’s inter-club fixtures. GR – AH to request Wednesday matches at
Capt’s meeting.
i) Sec/Captain/Fixtures Sec: Ensure that all Trophies which are kept in AH
the Trophy cabinet are present and correct – IL
j) Iain Liston to organise engraving ready for the presentation Dinner.
(See the last entry for the ‘to Do’ In September) Apart from the Over IL
65 Trophy, the trophies and medals are up to date for the year. IL
k) Treasurer to post Notice for Renewal of Subscriptions on Notice Board
and Website. MR £6 Membership 22/23.
l) Captain/Vice Captain to Choose menu and agree cost of Presentation Dinner MR
with the Kitchen and then request the Seniors Secretary to prepare a
*Notice/Sign-Up sheet for presentation dinner PE/CH
m) Sec/Captain to invite Club Captain /Pro/Lady Captain and Partners, to
presentation dinner. Seating Plan sheets on the notice Board.
n) Advise the Kitchen of numbers for the Presentation Dinner. PE
o) Treasurer: to agree Wine cost with steward

p) Post Formal Notice and Notification for AGM on Notice Board, website and
email members. MR
q) Post AOB items for the AGM on the Notice Board/website together with AH

5 Captain’s Report
Attended Capt’s meetings with Management – last cancelled, unable to attend last AH
Gents. Golf England requested to reassess slope. Capt Meet on 15/09/22

7 Website and Media keeping up to date. AH

8 Seniors Open
Another exceptional event, many compliments on professional operation, course
PE
and halfway house, Raised £969.17 for seniors profit and £707.88 for Senior Capt
charity. Well done to Paul and all who helped out.
9 Social Events morning meeting on 30th Aug, 62 members in attendance, to review - All
AGM
10 Secretary’s Report Ongoing, no problems. AH
11 Membership Report
PT apologies, membership at 130. AH
12 Welfare report Discussed All
13 Items from Club Manager/JM Nothing received. JM
14 AOB
Matches, extra day to be discussed with management for home matches. Ongoing
Future projects to put forward to membership for consideration.
CH discussed wildlife project, RSPB and R&A partnership visit later today with GI. CH
Halfway house for Halloween trophy CM
