2 Minutes of the Previous Meeting

The minutes from the previous meeting in September has been approved. All
AGM minutes for perusal
3 Matters Arising from the AGM:
All Action requirements had been completed or carried forward.
a) Captain and Committee Monthly ‘Actions’ Check. AH
Mid October:
 Post sign-up sheet Entry for Winter Knockouts Singles/Pairs (first rounds should be GR
played last week in November) REMEMBER: Singles ‘Full Handicap’, Doubles 90%
 Plan Poppy Day Cup Comp: Remember all monies go to the Poppy appeal (no prize money) PE
 Only two’s ( Remember: We Have to do 2’s as always on the poppy cup, the 50p of entry
fee collected for the 2’s is compulsory to members not a voluntary donation, with the PE
remainder going to charity)
 Ask Paul Teanby to collect Poppy appeal material from the British Legion and put for sale PT
at the Bar (Ian Barlow Tel: 01472 501921)
NOVEMBER
 Sec: to Invite Representative from the ‘Waltham British Legion’ to the following Tuesday PT
morning to collect all the monies raised and present the cup. (6th December)
 Put final details of monies collected on the notice board. MR
 Carry out draw for round 1 of the Winter Knockout Trophy Singles/Pairs and post on GR
Notice Board and Website. (at 1st monthly meeting)
 Captain to choose menu and agree cost of Christmas Lunch with the AZ/Catering and then PE
give all details (£) etc to sec to design poster and prepare signup sheet with menu.
(13th December £23.65)
 Treasurer to agree cost of wine with AZ for the Christmas Dinner Tables. MR
 END NOV: the sec to put up Christmas Dinner Material. The Members and Partners Sign- PE
up Sheets containing details of the menu for preselection. etc on the Notice Board. (Song
sheets - AH).
 Organise Santa’s Scramble, comp plus halfway house with all the trimmings and prizes! PE/CM

4 Treasurer’s Report in AGM minutes. MR

Balance £3051.73. Charity £224 – need 2s balls.
