The document discusses a person's plan for what to do in the event of a major earthquake, referred to as "the big one". The plan is to stay calm to avoid problems from panicking, go to an open area to check news and call family, and if at home, check on family, grab an emergency bag, go outside while covering their head, and run to an open area away from structures. The person believes they will follow this plan because they consider themselves to usually remain calm.

Honestly, I don't know how to react if the big one happens.
It can happen when I'm outside or inside our house, so the
first thing I'll do is stay calm because panicking can cause a lot of problems. Then I'll go into an open area and check the news or call my family. And if I'm at our house when the big one hits, I'll go check on my family, then grab our emergency bag, then go outside while covering my head, then run to an open area with no structures that could collapse. Because I'm such a calm person, I think this is what I'll do if the big one actually hits.
