Variant Rules

1. Play according to the official rules.


2. Add a die for each character and set it to 6. This represents the character's health.
3. When a character takes a morale hit, mark it on the morale tracker as usual, but also reduce
the character's health by the same amount.

Example:
If Ripley encounters the alien and incurs a loss of 3 morale,
subtract 3 morale from the tracker and subtract 3 from her health as well.

4. The only exception to rule #3 is if Jonesy the cat appears. In that case, just adjust the morale
tracker - the cat does no physical damage to the character, so the health is not affected.
5. Special case: If there is only 1 character remaining in the game, ignore the remaining
objectives (including the final objective). Instead, you must blow up the ship and get out.
a. Get to Maintenance.

b. Spend an action to activate the ship's self-destruct mechanism.


(Place the 4 tiles on the self-destruct tile)

c. Get to the Docking Bay with a coolant canister before the ship is destroyed and
complete your turn - including the Encounter Card phase.

If a character dies:

• Drop whatever items they were carrying onto the space they were on. These items can
now be picked up by other characters.
• Do not remove any of the 6 objectives - those stay in the game unless you are down to a
single remaining character (see rule #5).
