A. INTRODUCTIONS
1. BACKGROUND
Along with the times and the rapid development of technology and
information, as well as the lack of interest and attention from the young
generation to Indonesian arts and culture that we should preserve, are now
drowning in the midst of the swift influx of foreign cultures. penetrate into
remote villages. Only some of our youth or youth can perform traditional
dances. even something strange if we find someone who wears batik in their
daily lives.
The shift in customs and culture seems to have changed the face of
Indonesian children who prefer foreign cultures to be proud of. The inclusion
of western culture which received a positive response from youth without any
filter and balance from local culture resulted in teenagers, youth and most
people experiencing confusion in understanding and distinguishing between
native Indonesian culture and foreign culture. Seeing the conditions and facts
above, we should pay more attention to these problems and this is what
motivates us as youth to hold the Indonesian Cultural Festival in
commemoration of World Cultural Heritage Day.
3. EVENTS PARTICIPANTS
The competition is open to elementary, middle and high school students and
the general public with an estimated number of participants of 100-300 people.
