A computer system is a basic, full-featured hardware and software

configuration with all the components required to carry out computing

operations. A computer system is a setup of hardware and software
that works together to complete particular tasks. Systems are made up
of interconnected parts that cooperate to carry out a single activity or a
group of related tasks.

There are many examples of computer systems which are the

desktop computer or the personal computer. A laptop or notebook
computer is similar to a desktop and is also a computer system, but it
has an internal battery pack so it can be taken with users when they
travel. Computer systems will consist of the computer as well as any
software and add-ons that are required for the computer to operate.

A computer system can be as simple as a single device, or it can

be an entire network of devices working together. Although the terms
"computer" and "computer system" are sometimes used
interchangeably, they do not truly mean the same thing.
