The course Business Communication is designed to build confidence in speaking, reading and writing English in Business content. It is a three unit course that increase student's vocabulary practice, using it in
everyday business situations on the telephone and in meetings, presentations or negotiations. It also develops business English skills by writing e-mails, memos and business letters, participating in simulated
meetings and role-plays and discussing case studies. It develops the students to become outcall of everyday speaking experience in order for them to cope with communication problems at all level. It is designed
to improve students verbal and no verbal communication skills via understanding of the importance of language and communication.
At the end of the course, the learners are to 1. Understand the language and its in one's life. 2. Determine the objective in communication. 3. Identify the key elements of communication. 4. Enumerate and
distinguish in the different types of non-verbal communication. 5. Identify the variables in telephone inter action. 6. Transact or conduct business over the phone. 7. Develop values such as empathy, sincerity,
humility in dealing business transactions. 8. Develop Business English skills by writing e-mails, memos and business letters. 9. Build confidence in speaking, reading and writing English in business
communication. Strenghten and enhance oral communication through the different group of audience.
All are achieve through (4.2.1.1) excellent instruction, relevant and responsive research an/or extension services, and quality assured production (4.3.1.1) if a true NORSUNIAN with the core values
SAPPHIRE needed to (4.1.1.1) become dynamic competitive and globally responsive.
