My aim is to bring you a School Year filled with memorable experiences, lifelong lessons, and constant

companionship here at NMCFI, that allows us to grow and prosper together despite this ongoing
pandemic. Let us rise up by empowering students through my platform so that their voices can be heard
and strengthen the school community of students, faculty and administration in NMCFI. I envision the
start and end this challenging school year with well-skilled, knowledgeable and competitive Future
Seafarers that can LEAD.

I will reinforce “Virtual Review Rooms” for all students to cope up with their studies by through various
accessible online platforms such as Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams etc. before the major exams. I
aim to establish collaborative learning by initiating the “Captain’s Assist Program”, which empowers
Senior students to assist Freshmen students in any way to navigate them properly during their training.
This program allows freshmen to engage, socialize and exchange ideas with their Seniors, promoting
harmonious work ethic between the student body.

Establish effective communication

I will implement the plan of creating a safe and secure space for students to access information given by
the administration through an online “Student Affairs System” site – an area of compromise where
students also has a privilege to listen, give comments, suggestion, and opinions regarding on the specific
matters or concerns.

Actions and Awareness on the Current Issues of the Society

I will institute the “NMFCI Lighthouse”, an online periodical issued per semester for students to have a
concrete and general knowledge on current national and international issues and other news relevant to
their course such as scholarships and job opportunities. Also, in connection with this strand of my
platform, the NMFCI student page will initiate webinars of varied relevant topics, thereby letting
students participate in remote lectures and workshops that promote continuous learning.

Developing a strong camaraderie

I will propose a yearly NMCFI “Shipmate’s Week” which aims to have a series of activities to strengthen
the bond between Students of NMCFI and encourage students to participate these activities intended
for students to enjoy, learn, and meet new friends.
