ABSTRACT

The design of the Pratama Purwa Sehat Ciamis Clinic Sign System as a support for public
facilities aims to inform the concept of designing new, effective, creative, and communicative
visual communication media. Sign Systems are needed not only in highway traffic but also in
every public place, tourist spot, office building, or hospital as a means of informing the location
and direction of places in the surrounding environment. The process of designing a Sign system
at the Purwa Sehat Ciamis Pratama Clinic goes through stages of data collection through visual
forms by means of studies, interviews, observation, and documentation. Then the method used in
the design plan is to make sketches of scribbles in the form of rough layouts to determine the
layout or arrangement of texts, and illustration signs, then make a font design in accordance with
the main design. The design is then transferred to digital form by using graphic software
(Procreate) to create a design. After the design is complete and perfected, it is then followed up
with a printing or printing process with digital printing. This Sign System has an initial concept
developed by exploring the location of the building, and the colors used for the Sign System are
taken from one of the clinic's identities, namely the green and white logo. Using a modern and
minimalist approach, hopefully, will make visitors easier to use the facilities provided by the
Clinic. In terms of the realization of the continuation of the Sign System, it will be fully handed
over to the Pratama Purwa Sehat Ciamis Clinic.
