2. LECTURE

-Our activity is related to what we are now

discussing. It's about 'Cause and Effect of
Imperialism and Colonialism'.

-Imperialism is a way of governing a

powerful country in another country.
Imperialism is a law or way of management
where the large or terrate country seeks to
expand their power by covering or launching
veils or controls of economics and political
overspends in other countries.

-Colonialism is the invasion

a foreign land. Colonialism is the
establishment of permanent residence
(Colony) in
foreign lands.

-I have a graph about the reasons for

exploration and invasion.
-First, Growing population because a country
needs food, clothing and goods. That's one of
the reasons.

-Because of the quietness and gentleness of a

country it has resulted in population growth.
As it increased there was also a rise in
demand for food, clothing and other
equipment. It prompted them to slugger.

-Next, The Needs product from the East.

-Europeans need goods coming from the East.

Because of the desperate need they had to get
out of there. Asia is one of the biggest sources
of their needs. So they wanted to get to the
east.

-Next is The journey of Marco Polo, Sir. It

was one of the reasons for the invasion and
exploration, because of his writing that
inspired European interests.

-Marco Polo writes about the wealthiness of

eastern land. That's why European interests
have been stirred up.

- Next is Pagnanasa na ikalat ang

Kristyanismo. When they wanted to spread
the christianism, it made them desire to reach
other lands. They wanted to reach other lands
outside Europe to spread Christianity.

-Here are some of the positive effects of

Colonialism and Imperialism.
1. Different products are recognized.
2. Knowledge expanded in Geography.
3. Trade expanded.

-Also one of the good effects of colonialism is

that we've learned the true geography of the
world.

- Here also are the negative effects of

Imperialism and colonialism.

-Slave trade also rose. These slaves were last

to other African groups. They use this slave in
building homes and planting vast plantations
and mines. Another reason is because of
Colonialism and Imperialism, it caused the
death of a large number of the world's
population because of the disease carried by
The Europeans.

-Now for further review, Let’s watch this

short video clip.
