MY FAVORITE FILM TITANIC

If you have never seen the film titled “Titanic”, then you really need to watch it. You
may ask why. Well, at least for the fact that it is the most remarkable movie of all the
times. “Titanic” is an American romance and disaster film, which was directed by James
Cameron in 1997. It is an amazing love story, awarded with eleven Oscars, from viewers
all around the world. This is certainly because of an amazing cast. The main roles were
played by Kate Winslet along with Leonard DiCaprio. Additionally, you cannot stay away
from James Horners soundtracks, photos by Russel Carpenter, costumes that Deborah
Lynn Scott took care of.
The plot begins with a group of “treasure hunters”, who searches for the wreck of the
“Titanic” in the hope of finding a priceless diamond called “Heart of the Ocean”. One day
they come across an armored cassette with a drawing of a young girl with a diamond
around her neck. This girl turns out to be Rose Calvert, played by Gloria Stuart. The
woman agrees to tell about the events related to the disaster “Titanic” …
Then we go back in time to one sunny April day in 1912. Meanwhile, on the English
coast, an aristocratic family, along with 17-year-old Rose, embarks on an unsinkable ship,
called Titanic, traveling to United States. An hour later, 23-year-old Jack Dawson, who
plays poker in the cheap harbor bar, wins a ticket on the same boat. That is how the great
love story begins and it was supposed to change the whole life of a beautiful, rich but
upset Rose and poor, having nothing, but the talent of painting Jack.
However, their romance was not destined to live long. When a luxury liner collides
with an iceberg, their romance turns into a terrifying struggle for life. I think that “Titanic”
is a real success in the world of cinematography and certainly has permanently entered its
history. The plot of this story is beautiful in every way. The director perfectly manipulates
the feelings of viewers throughout the entire movie.
Briefly talking, the retrospective phenomenon used in this story is the most interesting
for me. My favorite fragment is the moment when the scene passes from the wreck of the
ship, located deep under water, to its perfect replica made for the needs of the film.
In my opinion, this work deserves all the awards that it was honored. I hope that many
more generations will shed a tear watching this story.
