 Chhatra Sansad, an initiative of Zero Hour Foundation is the first ever unique
movement that provides the youth a platform to become an element of
change founded by Kunal Sharma in 2015.

We at Chhatra Sansad have a vision to create ethical, spirited and competent

public leadership in the country, which will shape our policies. We aim to make our
democracy more vibrant and bridge the chasm between the way we are being
governed today and the way we actually want to be governed.

Over the past 6 years, we have been able to reach out to more than 25000 students by
making them interact with almost 250 renowned guest speakers. Apart from our 5
projects that run continuously, we also have initiated 300+ campaigns and activities
that were inspired by events relevant to that period, as well as some comprehensive
and meticulously designed perennial campaigns aimed primarily at the Youth of our
Society as in conjunction with the overall betterment of our Society as well.

InternNation Leadership 2022

Chhatra Sansad’s InternNation is an immersive hands-on learning program for the
youth of today who wish to one day be stalwarts in their own right and have the will to
change the very foundation of our Society.

Through InternNation, Chhatra Sansad provides the delegates with a chance to meet
and interact with Visionaries from the Public and Private Sector as well as the
Government so that they can learn from the very best and inspire their fellow Indians.

We provide first-hand experience to the various governance models, opportunity to

interact with leaders behind the scene and learn how they do what they do.

In the month of January, Chhatra Sansad hosted an Intern Nation Leadership Program
in Delhi, Lucknow, Ayodhya, and Varanasi. It was a 10 day tour where the participants
got a chance to imbibe the same values that drive today’s leaders and Visionaries.
 GOVERNING COUNCIL

When you say out loud “Politics” out loud, it evokes different reactions from
different people. Some think it is a cunning man’s game. The word
'incompetence' also come to mind. Even others would say it is an exercise in
futility .But you would be hard pressed to find someone who has anything
positive to say about Politics. It would be even harder for you to find a Young
Indian under the age of 25 who is actively willing to participate in our
Political System, the biggest Democracy in the world.

And this is why Chhatra Sansad was started, with the most basic of
objectives, to encourage the Youth of Today and Tomorrow to at the very
least, take an active interest in our Political System and increase the number
of Young Indians in our Political System. In the immortal words of Gandhi,
“be the change you wish to see”, I took the first step towards the change I
wished to see and began Chhatra Sansad. I want to make Young Men and
Women of India realise that they too can be in positions of power, that they Founder - President, CS India
too can dream of a better India and that they and only they are responsible
for it.

And the best way to become a Leader, is to learn from a Leader. Which is
where the InternNation Leadership Tour excels at. Rather, that is the
entire aim of the campaign, to give a chance to aspiring leaders to meet
their role models and learn how the affect change in the world’s largest
democracy.

Youth is synonymous with vibrancy and new ideas. Today's Youth is

opinionated, educated and well informed. Given the correct direction and
aim, the Youth can affect our socio-political scenario and implement the
change we wish to see in our Society and Country. It is the youth that we
need to provide a platform for so that they can express their views and
opinions. The need of the hour is for us to have educated and Ethical
Leaders. And not just Political Leaders, but Leaders in Education, Healthcare,
Infrastructure and other such important sectors that need immediate
upgradation and improvement. We need to realise the potential of the Youth
of Today such that they too have a chance to build our Country and Society.

The delegates of InternNation Leadership Tour

interacted with Shri Subramanian Swami and got
insights on the workings of Ministry of
Commerce & Industry and Law & Justice. He
gave the delegates his insights on the current
status of our country’s economy and its foreign
relations with China, Pakistan & Israel. He also
made the students understand the importance
of a powerful opposition & how to unite a strong
opposition.

InternNation Leadership Tour delegates met with

Shri Piyush Goyal and had a productive
discussion about the Ministry of Commerce &
Industry, Consumer Affairs, and Textiles'
operations. He also spoke about his new
responsibility as the Leader of Rajya Sabha.

Development of India

The participants of the InternNation Leadership

Tour spoke with Smriti Irani on the Ministry of
Women and Child Development's activities and
how to boost women's representation and
participation in politics. She also gave the
delegation an insight into her journey from
actress to cabinet minister.

The group met with the former Uttar Pradesh

Chief Minister and learned about his
government's good governance measures as
well as his strategy for the upcoming Vidhan
Sabha elections in 2022. He informed the
delegation on the policies that his party will
execute if they gain power.

Minister of Agriculture and
Farmers Welfare

InternNation Leadership Tour attendees spoke

with Shri Narendra Tomar about the Ministry of
Agriculture and Farmers Welfare's operations. He
informed the delegates about the farmers'
demonstrations and why the Indian government
overturned the three agriculture laws. He also
informed the team about how the government is
modernising technologies in order to enhance
the state of agriculture and avoid farmer suicide.

Husbandry & Dairying

The InternNation Leadership Tour delegates met

with Shri Parshottam Rupala and learned about
the ministry of Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, and
Dairy. He told the participants how the Indian
government is working hard to improve the
situation of our country's animal producers.

The team had the opportunity to speak with Smt

Anandiben Patel and learn about her long
political career. She explained to the participants
how the Chief Minister's and Education Minister's
offices work. She also outlined the Governor's
Offices' powers.

The delegation discussed the importance and

significance of a robust opposition with Shri Kapil
Sibal. He also informed the pupils on the state of
the Judiciary Department throughout the last
seven years.

Sahasrabudhe and gain insight into how our
country's Rajya Sabha operates and how a
national party mobilises its people and financial

Uday Mahurkar and learn about the Central
Information Commission's operations. He
provided the group with information on how the
CIC works to ensure transparency and
accountability.

The delegates met with Miss Swati Maliwal and

learned about the work of the Delhi Commission
for Women in reducing crimes against women in
the National Capital. She also informed the team
about how the commission has established
hotlines to assist survivors and how it is assisting
them in their rehabilitation.

The delegates spoke with Shri Vaibhav Dange

and learned about the National Highways
Authority of India's efforts to construct
long-lasting highways across the country. He also
informed the delegation about how local
governments can build long-lasting roads on a
far smaller budget.

The group had the opportunity to speak with

SDMC Mayor Shri Mukesh Suryan. They
discussed a variety of problems relating to the
municipal corporation, such as the obligation of
effectively monitoring, updating, and creating
civic amenities in order to provide a brighter
future for Delhi's residents.

Bimlendra Mohan Pratap Mishra. He is the scion
of the royal family of Ayodhya. Our delegates had
an informative discussion with him about the
history and cultural importance of the kingdom
of Ayodhya.

The delegates visited Ayodhya to interact with locals to understand how the city has
changed since 1992 and how the local government is working with the state & the central
government to develop the city & it’s tourism. They had the opportunity to interact with
the General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, Champak Rai. They also
interacted with the engineers and architects of the upcoming Bhavya Ram Mandir which is
being constructed at the Janam Bhoomi.

They also visited Varanasi to research on how the holy city has developed since Hon.
Prime Minister has been elected as the Member of Parliament. They interacted with Shri
Saurabh Srivastava, Padampati Sharma, & Mridula Jaiswal to get a better understanding of
the governance structure in Varanasi. They also researched on newly built
Kashi-Vishwamanth Corridor and how it will bring employment to
the citizens of Varanasi.

 Along with these encounters, the delegates participated in policy boot camps and
leadership exercises, debates & elocutions that exposed them to policymaking and
assisted them in drafting reports and action plans that will serve as a resource for
governments across the country. They also went on ground in Delhi, Lucknow,
Ayodhya & Varanasi to get more clarity on whether government schemes
were reaching out to the downtrodden.

reach out to the poor and oppressed. The delegation will work 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week to guarantee that we provide assistance to the people and governments of India,
and that the country develops into a true superpower.
