My philosophy for teaching is I want to pass on what I know and see how the students I
taught it to take it on to the real world and apply it. I grew up in a big family, so I know
what it is like to be the youngest and the oldest child. Learning from my older sister and
brother I know what it is like to be the learner and that feeling I got from learning and
understanding, I want other people's kids to feel that way too. Social reconstructionism is
a philosophy that emphasizes the addressing of social questions and a quest to create a
better society for social reconstructionist and critical theorists, curriculum focuses on
student experience and taking social action on real problems, such as violence, hunger,
international terrorism, inflation, and inequality. Strategies for dealing with controversial

I believe Students should be allowed to write about anything they wanted and were
free to express themselves in their journals however they pleased. Journal writing not
only taught basic writing skills; in some individual instances, it helped to bring students
out of a life of crime or get on a path that is not good for them. The reconstructionist
