I am interested in applying for your PRN Student Nurse position for long term pediatric care. I
found this job listing on indeed while looking for a medical related job I could have while still in
Nursing School. This job would be a good fit for me as I meet the criteria of completing a
semester of clinical, as well as, planning to become a pediatric or NICU Nurse. I know that your
hospital has an amazing and highly praised NICU. I would love to be able to be a part of your
hospital and show you what skills I can add to your team, and I am happy to be a part of your

While pursuing my nursing degree I have learned how to better communicate with patients in a
way that is considerate to them, and allows the patient to be a part of their own care team. I
have learned how to record vital signs, assist with mobility, provide personal care and hygiene,
as well as keep a sterile field while performing wound dressing changes. I also have an active
BLS Certification, as well as training on how to use EPIC EHR. I work well under pressure, and
am good at knowing when to ask for assistance. I work well in a team based setting, and am
able to work with others to come up with a plan. In addition to this I am able to explain to the
patient in simple terms what is going on and assist them in understanding their options so that
they can make informed choices.

OBJECTIVE
