Cable Identification System

LABELCORE Fiber Optic Cable Identification System allows
convenient labeling of fiber optic cables. The TIA/EIA-606-A
standard has created a unified system that specifies a "common"
method of labeling the complete telecommunication infrastructure.
To maximize legibility, the TIA/EIA-606-A standard states that all
labels shall be printed or generated by a "mechanical device". The
standard also advises that labels "should be visible during the
installation of and normal maintenance of the infrastructure".
