WO UNIT (offshore)

• Type : Workover Rig

Horse Power : 550HP
• Its working like land rig that
placed in the top of production
platform
• For light to heavy workover
• Depend on platform type,
integrity and capacity

*Only use in PHE OSES

HWU

• Hydraulic Workover Unit: are self contained

operating systems consisting of modular
hydraulic equipment groups that are easily
transported and rigged up used for
snubbing or workover operation
• Snubbing is the process of running and
pulling tubing, drill pipe, or casing with
surface pressure present on the wellhead.
• Snubbing also describes a force-balance
condition (or the “pipe-light” condition)
where an external force is required to
prevent the work string from being force
out of the hole.
• In some situations, Hydraulic Workover
(HWO) may also be used to trip tubulars
into and out of wells with no existing or
anticipated surface pressure.

HWU Application

• Fishing or Milling Inside Tubing or Casing

• Cleaning out formation plugs in production tubing, liner, or casing
• Drilling out Cement and Bridge Plugs
• Washing out Frac Materials
• Pressure Control / Well killing
• Circulating Out Heavy Mud or Fluids
• Running and Pulling Retrievable Plugs for Selective Treatments
• Acidizing and Washing
• Running Macaroni Tubing to Pump Nitrogen in Wells where Depth and
• Pressure are too Great for Coiled Tubing
• Completing Under Pressure
• Gravel Packing (Sand Consolidation)
• Squeeze Cementing or Plugging Back
• Plugging and Abandoning

E-line

a wireline is an electrical
cable used to lower tools
into and transmit data
about the conditions of the
wellbore called wireline
logs. Usually consisting of
braided cables, wirelines
are used to perform
wireline logging, as well.

E-line Logging Application

• Natural gamma ray tools

• Nuclear tools
• Resistivity tools
• Sonic and ultrasonic tools
• Nuclear magnetic resonance tools
• Borehole seismic tools
• Cased hole electric line tools
 Cement bond tools
 Casing collar locators
• Gamma perforating tools

Slickline

slickline is a thin cable

introduced into a well
to deliver and retrieve
tools downhole

Slickline Application

The most common applications for slickline are:

• Tagging T.D. (Total Depth, which is the furthest

depth possible down the wellbore)
• Gauge Ring runs
• Bailing sand and debris
• Shifting sleeves Setting / Pulling plugs and
chokes
• Setting / Pulling gas lift valves
• Running tailpipes Bottom hole pressure and
temperature surveys Spinner Surveys
• Running production logging tools
• Fishing operations Paraffin
• Lubricating long assemblies in and out of the
hole

Barge, Boat & Lift Boat

• Workover support equipment in

offshore operation for mobilization
• To store chemical and WO tools
• As accommodation for WO
personnel
