1. What did "God” mean when he said, “There is no one else.”?

2. Make an argument based on whether you think this could be a real scenario.

3. What do you think the “God” does in his free time, does he have free time? Or is
he always talking to the "dead” who are about to be reincarnated?

4. Describe the person "God” is talking to, and who he is.

5. What question would you ask "God” in this scenario?

6. Do you think that the end of the story is the person dying, going into the light, no return?

7. Is the main character a girl or boy? Why do you think this?

8. Evaluate the setting the story is set in.

9. Describe the tone used during the story, and why the author might have chosen this
tone.

10. Interpret the meaning of the story.

1. Fetus - an offspring of a human or other mammal in the stages of prenatal development
that follow the embryo stage.

2. Peasant - a poor farmer of low social status who owns or rents a small piece of land for
cultivation.

3. Languorously - pleasantly tired or not active.

4. Papyrus - material prepared in ancient Egypt from the pithy stem of a water plant.
