Well, we learn a lot of things during our lifetime some things we learn

by ourself, many times we take classes from others.

We start learning the day we are born and we don’t stop till the day we
die. Here, I would like to talk about an important skill that I learned
from my grandfather, which is communication skill.
My grandfather is a retired principal, who has lifelong experience in
teaching.
He always tries his best to help out children in their studies.
A couple of years back, when he got to know that I’m terrible at
communicating with someone, he decided to improve my speaking
skills. Actually, I couldn’t even speak properly with someone due to my
nervousness and a lack of confidence.
So, I started taking classes from him every day after my school hours.
Initially, he used to teach me the basics of speaking, like introducing
yourself, greeting someone and showing gestures.
I have to say, due to lack of confidence, it was very difficult for me to
understand everything. But, thanks to my grandfather, who kept
motivating me throughout the journey.
At the same time, he suggested that i should concentrate on other
essential areas, like voice modulation and body language which play an
important role in public speaking. I also used to practice in front of the
mirror or with my grandfather, so I could gain confidence.
After two months, I was able to see a dramatic improvement in my
speaking, as I learned so many important things.
Now, I am quite confident with my communication skills and I never
miss any chance of beginning a conversation with someone.
So, that was the skill that I acquired from my grandfather.
