1. Explain the Importance of
Using Mnemonics
A mnemonic is an instructional strategy designed to help students improve
their memory of important information. This technique connects new learning
to prior knowledge through the use of visual and/or acoustic cues. Basic
mnemonic techniques focus on the use of acronyms, key words, or rhyming
words.and thereby possibly reducing stress and freeing up more cognitive
resources for higher-order thinking. Both teachers and students may create
their own mnemonic devices.

your learning effectiveness and give you the memory boost
we could all use. Keep in mind that you may need to practice
a few of these strategies before they come easily, but once
you have them down, they should clearly benefit your learning
and recall of information.
