6. Estimation of iron content of the water sample using spectrophotometer.

1.Dissoled Oxygen content (Winkler’s method)

 Amount of Dissolved Oxygen (Tap water) ≈ 40mg/l (or) 40 ppm

2. Cholride content in water sample(Mohr’s method)

 Amount of chloride ion (Tap water) ≈ 198 ppm


 Amount of chloride ion (Drinking water) ≈ 33ppm

3. PH titration (HCl vs NaOH)

 Amount of HCl present in the given solution ≈ 5.913g

4. Conductometric titration (HCl & CH3COOH vs NaOH)

 Amount of HCl present in 1 litre ≈ 5.913g


 Amount of CH3COOH present in 1 litre ≈ 9.8g

5.Conductometric titration of S.A vs S.B(HCl vs NaOH)

 Strength of HCl ≈ 0.1 N


 Amount of HCl present in 1 litre ≈ 5.645g
