MODE OF TOURNAMENT : 8 Rounds shall be played. TIME CONTROL : 90 minutes each +30 seconds increment per move from no.1 TIE BREAK : Buchholz tie-break system, will be applied. In case of a tie, prizes will not be shared. DEFAULT TIME : 15 Minutes AICF PLAYER REGISTRATION : AICF registration is compulsory. AICF registration fee is Rs.250/- for the year 2022-2023. As per the latest AICF regulations dated 31.07.2017, it is informed that from 01 September 2017 all AICF registrations will be accepted only through online mode. Players'/ Arbiters’ registration should be | done well before the start of the event (Tournament). PROTESTS : Protests if any, against the decision of the Chief Arbiter shall be made in writing with a protest fee of Rs.500/- within 15 minutes of the occurrence of the incident to the appeals committee. The protest fee will be refunded if the appeal is upheld. APPEALS COMMITTEE : Before the commencement of the Tournament an appeals committee will be formed from the senior participants present at the players’ meeting. The appeals committees’ decisions will be final and binding on all players concerned. WITHDRAWALS : A player may withdraw at any stage of the event, after informing the chief arbiter in writing. LAST DATE : Entries shall not permitted after 6.00 p.m. on 02-03-2023 RIGHTS OF ADMISSION : The AICF/TNSCA/Tirunelveli DCA/organizer Department of Physical Education & ST XAVIER'S College - (AUTONOMOUS) reserve the rights of admission to the venue. A/C Hall will be provided for top boards. WRIST WATCHES : AICF has banned wrist watches while playing in FIDE Rating events. Players wearing a watch during the games will be disqualified. ELECTRONIC DEVICES : Players may keep their mobile phones switched off, in a separate bag. If the player is found carrying a mobile phone or any electronic devices on their person he / she will be disqualified.
