PRIZE STRUCTURE
 RULES & REGULATIONS

1. Tournament will be conducted as per FIDE Laws of Chess

and Fide Swiss System with 9 rounds.
2. Time control - 15 minutes + 10 seconds increment per
move from move number 1 for the entire game.
3. Tie Breaks: Incase of a tie, the latest Tie Break Rules from
FIDE will be followed.
4. Arbiter - IA R Anantharam will be the Chief Arbiter for
the event.
5. Appeals Committee - Protests, if any, against the decision
of the Chief Arbiter must be lodged within 15 minutes of
incident, with protest fee of Rs.2000/- in writing to the
Appeals Committee, to be formed at the start of the
tournament
6. Organizers reserve the right to accept or reject any entry
without stating any reason thereof.
7. One player is obliged to receive only one prize, either in
the Main category or in the sub-category whichever has
the higher cash prize.
8. Mobile phones and Watches are strictly prohibited in the
tournament hall.
9. AICF registration is a must for the participating players. It
can be done directly through : https://prs.aicf.in/players

1. Rs 2300/- for rated and unrated players. (Total entry

may be restricted to 450)
2. Free entry and accomodations for GMs, IMs, WGMs,
WIMs.
3. Other players have to make their own arrangements for
stay.
4. Discounted entry fee for IIT Madras students, faculty,
staff and alumni.(Check institute mail or contact
organizers for more details)
5. Early Bird Offer: Entry fees of Rs.1800/- if registered
before March 3, 5PM.
PAYMENT DETAILS:
1. Players can pay the entry fee through NEFT to the
below account, and email the fully filled entry form
along with proof of payment to
outreach@shaastra.org (participants eligible for free
entry can directly email the filled form.)
2. Players can also register online through
www.chessfee.com , www.easypaychess.com or
chessentry.in
3. AICF registration is mandatory for all players for the
period 2022-23. This should be done online before the
event.
4. TNSCA registration is mandatory for all TN players
and CDCA registration for all Chennai players. Players
must get registered before the start of the event.
5. Last date of entry 5pm, 10th March 2023. Spot
Registration will strictly not be entertained.

NOTE: AICF registrations must be done online only.
