    THREE STARVING CHILDREN ROAST AND EAT A DEAD DOG'S MEAT

    Three children from a village in Mandy county roasted and ate a dog's meat which they found dead in
    the compound to subdue the hunger pangs they were enduring while their 24 aged mother went to look
    for food in the he neighbouring village which is some kilometers far from their home.

    Two of the children were an unconscious and one was complaining of stomachache which was severe by
    their mother who returned in the late evening.They were then rushed to a nearby health center for
    treatment.

    Janet who is the mother of the children found out that her children had roasted the meat on an open
    fire and she also found bones placed outside near the fire place.She then noticed that it was a dog's
    meat this because when she left to search for food her dog was ill to a point of death.

    Janet confirmed that she had starved for about four days together with her three children since she had
    no food and her plea for help from well wishers had fallen on deaf ears and it bored no fruit in her life
    since no one responded to her plea.

    Mr.Tom who is the areas chief said"Truly it may be hunger that made the children to feed on the dead
    meat since the area has been struck by severe famine leading to low food production and the
    government too has delayed to provide citizens with relief food to help fight hunger."

    It is confirmed by a health officer that the children are in good condition and soon they shall recover.He
    also requested the parents to take care of their children and ensure they feed on good food.
