UDL Guidelines = 100 points due Feb 12 by 11:59

1) Develop a goal statement that incorporates technology for a content standard.

a) Content standard: 3. Write narratives to develop real or imagined experiences or events using
effective technique, well-chosen details, and well-structured event sequences.
b) Students will use a digital tool to create a well-structured narrative; this can be a blog from the
point of view of their characters, a drawing program to create a narrative comic, or even a tool
to create a narrative video.
2) Create a narrative description of how you plan to use technology to personalize learning.
a) I plan to use technology to personalize by using it as a tool for differentiation, both by interest
and to accommodate diverse learning needs. I plan to teach students to use different
technological tools in creative ways to express their understandings as well as to express
themselves.
3) Download the U D L Guidelines—Educators Checklist and describe how you can design instruction
that adhere to the principles and guidelines.

4) Download the UDL Guidelines—Educator Checklist from the National Center on Universal Design for
Learning, https://udlguidelines.cast.org/ . Describe how you can proactively design your instruction
to adhere to the principles and guidelines given in the checklist. Explicitly mention the role
technology plays in setting goals, promoting active learning, and monitoring and evaluating student
learning.
a) I think the most important way to be proactive in designing instruction would be to examine the
checklist when creating my learning goals and forming my backwards design lesson plans.
