Literary Analysis Essay

Of the many cases that have been witnessed in adoption of child either by adopters or
the child which is adopted by them. In the many cases, there’s a little bit happiness that is
felt by them. It is more often witnessed by the child which is adopted, because she is not
from part of family in an adoption. She is sometimes being the servant that has to do the
hard work every day in adopter’s house. That happens to the most of people( adopter) in
the real world factually. It should not happen to the child and adopter, because the child
which is adopted really needs an affection. Most of children that are often adopted by
people, originates from an orphanage. But, many readers may think that the fact in an
adoption of a child which commonly appeared to have the negative impact in the real
world. The story by Lucy Maud Montgomery whirled the fact about an adoption of child
impacts in the real world, where the child that is adopted by brothers and sisters in green
gables makes loved each other. The moral value of story had been written by her should
happen in the real world, the author wanted to show if the happiness and love can be
brought by anyone, including the adopted child from an orphanage.
Many adopters must not know all about an adopted child life, experiences, and
personalities. Whereas it is most importance to know, because it will be impact either
towards the child or the adopter in the future. Firstly, Marrila didn’t want to adopt a little
girl, because she could not help his brother for work in the farm. Marrila also didn’t know
anything about her. But because of pity, she was perforce to adopt Anne to the Green
Gables in Avonlea at last. Anne was looked as a rude girl by Marrila and Mrs. Lynde,
because she had been dare to oppose Mrs. Lynde or Marrila’s neighbor. Actually she was
smart, diligent, funny, kind and good girl. Many problem that had witnessed by Anne in
Avonlea, she was not liked by people at first, included Marrila, Mrs. Lynde, and Mrs.
Barry. Nevertheless, because of her good personalities can make people in the Avonlea to
like her. She liked to help Marrila and Matthew doing housework everyday and that thing
makes Marrila knows all about her slowly. The goodness that had been done by Anne
toward people while lived at Green Gables in Avonlea make them likes her at last.
Because Matthew and Marrila had already known about Anne, they could understand and
love her. Even the people in Avonlea proud to Matthew and Marrila, because they can
have an adopted girl which has good personalities and always helping people in the
Avonlea.
Anne was really loving Matthew, Marrila, her close friend (Diana), and people in
Avonlea, she was also happy lived at Green Gables (her house) in Avonlea. Almost every
day Anne and Diana played together, she very loved Diana (her close friend). There’s one
of her classmate that was very hated by her, it’s Gilbert Biythe. Because he ever said that
Anne’s hair was red like a carrots, he’s only kidding to her. But, Anne was angry instead
to him, she ever thought that she never spoke to him again. She really didn’t like if there’s
somebody said about her red hair, Gilbert Biythe often apologized to her, but Anne never
received it. She always thought that each punishments from Mr. Philips as minister were
caused by Gilbert. She also did not like Mr. Philips, Anne’s attitude should not be done
towards Gilbert Biythe as her classmate and Mr. Philips as her minister. She only played
with her close friend and never wanted to speak with Gilbert Biythe. Even he ever helped
Anne when she almost sank in the river, but after helped her at the river Gilbert Biythe
apologized to Anne because his kidding at the school. She kept to refuse it again. One of
Anne’s personalities that seemed improper to imitate. She was really hated him and never
spoke to him, although they were studying at the same class. But, Anne’s grudge to
Gilbert Biythe began to fade, because she realized that Gilbert’s a good friend to her.
Anne and Gilbert Biythe were a smart students and they were same studying at Queen's
College. But, Gilbert didn’t continue his study because his father didn’t have money to
defray him. He’s only going to teach in Avonlea school. When Matthew was died, Marilla
could not defray Anne’s study at Queen's College. But, Gilbert decided to give Anne his
job in Avonlea school because Green Gables was near to the school and he looked for the
other school for teaching. Anne realized that Gilbert was really kind to her, she felt that
her attitude to him was wrong during that time. Anne and Gilbert were being close friend
at last. Anne’s attitude toward her friend should not be imitated, she didn’t forgive Gilbert
although he often apologized to her.
An adoption of a children that are done by many people can give positive impact either
for them or the children self. An adopted child can bring happiness for adopter as their
parents, like Anne of Green Gables story by Lucy Maud Montgomery. The author wants
to show readers if an adopted child can be loyal toward her adopters. “You and Matthew
did everything for me. Now I'm going to help you.” if the adopters can understand a
child’s personalities, so it will be able to make loyalty from a child to the adopter. An
adopters should not treat an adopted child like a servant that has to do hard work every
day. They should understand a child’s personalities and treat her affectionate, in order to
make a child can be loyal and feel happiness and affection toward them. Moreover, an
adopted children are many from an orphanage and most of them didn’t have family or
parents. Many adopters think that an adopted child is not part of their family, they ask a
child to do all of their housework instead. Whereas that thing shouldn’t be done by them
toward an adopted child from orphanage. So, the adopters should really have an intention
before adopting a child, they have to understand a child’s personalities and background.
They also have to have an intention to bring happiness for a child. In order not to appear
negative cases between adopters and a child, like torturing and killing.
