This is where all that information may be entered and stored for future retrieval
or additions. Change and add more notes at any later time to any chart. Bring
the chart onto the screen with the Data module in the main menu bar. Click on
the Note button under the Cancel button. Type the notes and click on OK. Notice
that there will be a red dot in front of the Note button. This indicates that a nota-
tion about the chart was previously made. The big red dot will be there every
time the chart is opened from the file.

ties and display the answer.

All the criteria utilized to answer this question will be displayed in the Astrological

ANALYZING THE FINAL CONCULSION
Notice that the answer is displayed on top of the red and green gauge window in
the final conclusion. The value for the answer is calculated and displayed in as a
percentage. This percentage value indicates if the answer is preferable or not.

The higher the number of the percentage value, the stronger the answer. The
RED light (a NO answer) indicates trouble or things will not go in the Querentls
favor. It also indicates that the situation involving the question is deteriorating. A
GREEN light( a YES answer) indicates that situation or the outcome will be in
the Querentls favor.

We will describe more on how to read these red and green light later in the
documentation.
Next, letls analyze the career and the income from that career. Change the
Querent to the number 10 and the Quesited to the number 2. The final conclu-
sion value will show the money situation from the career in question. Next, set
the Querent to number 10 and Quesited to number 6 to see how the situation
regarding the co-workers will be. If red it could mean that the Querent might not
get along well with the people working at the job. If it is green then the Querent
and co-workers can relate well.

The INSIGHT BUTTON

The INSIGHT button is another terrific feature to assist in offering information
about the answer of a horary question. It is found at the lower right part of the
screen with all the other buttons underneath the Red and Green Percentage Bar.
It offers very important insights about the question at hand. This feature has no
influence on the actual answer bar but does offer a deeper knonwledge regard-

surrounding the question. For instance, it will define more details about the

Type in the question in the slot window under iyour question please.! Next click

NOTICE that the proper houses for Querent and Quesited were chosen by the
computer and the planets ruling the Querent and Quesited will be displayed next
to it.

All the criteria utilized answer this question will be displayed in the Astrological
details window and the answer for the question will be given in the final conclu-
sion red and green gauge.

IMPORTANT: BE SURE TO USE ONLY ONE VERB IN EACH QUESTION.

Because of the artificial intelligence, most English words are easily understood.
But, remember this is a computer and not a human being, so there are other
qualifications to asking questions. There is a noticeable difference between
asking, iShould I get this house?! and iShould I buy this house?! Try it yourself,
and Nostradamus will give two different answers. The first question tells
whether or not to get a house; whether you should make that part of your life.
The second question involves money and asks if you should put your money
into that particular house. So the question needs to be specific about these
important issues.

AIR Software
Nostradamus II 21
Question: TSHouia T marry my gTrlTrienHTT wRIcR allows you TFie TreeHom of
choice. Or, iWill my girlfriend marry me?i which leaves the action to the girl-
friend. Make sure to be very clear about what is being asked before actually
asking questions. This is a rule of thumb for all good horary.

HOW TO ASK QUESTIONS

Normally in horary if the question is asked of an horary astrologer, i Will I inherit

from my aunt?i the question may actually be phrased in an incorrect manner.
Astrology usually designates aunts and uncles to the sixth house but thatls only
half true because the sixth house refers to the fatherls brothers and sisters while
the eleventh house shows the siblings of the mother. So the astrologer would
have to ask if the aunt is on the motherfs or fatherls side. Nostradamus, like the
astrologer, will also ask about this discrepancy by opening a window that asks if
the aunt or uncle is on the motherls or fatherls side. Therefore, the proper way
to pose the question is, IWill I inherit from my motherls sister?!. The question
may be posed either way with Nostradamus as it will always open a window to
clarify the relationship.

Although horary charts are best when the Querent directly asks the ques-
tion, complex questions such as ils my motherls bossls friendls dog sick?T can
be asked. Nostradamus will automatically turn the chart to the correct houses.
To learn more about derived houses just type in a phrase such as 6 should I go
to my house?!. This will determine the Quesited house as the fourth house. But
if I ask e should I go to my motherls house! the Quesited house becomes the
first, which is the fourth house from the tenth house of the radical chart. Notice
that the artificial intelligence in the Nostradamus program was able to handle this
type of question.

If there is a step-father or step-mother, then use that term to refer to them.

To inquire about any family member specify their relationship to the Querent, i.e.,
If asking about a brother-in-law who is a step brother to your wife, define him as
your wifels step-brother for accuracy when asking the question so that
Nostradamus will turn the chart to the appropriate house.

If a Querent wants to know iWill my boyfriend visit me for Christmas?! simply

type in question, IWill my boyfriend visit me?! The time frame is understood
and extraneous. In other words, when a client or friend is asking a question, use
the exact wording that they use and put it in the first person of I or me. Extrane-
ous words or phrases may be dropped. Do be CAREFUL to keep the word ME

AIR Software

or MY in ffie senfence as II is essenfiaTTo ffie quesfion.

Always define the relationship person in the question. Question: iWill she join
our club?T Nostradamus will open a window that asks for the selection of the
proper relationship to specify isheT. If 6shei refers to the Querentis sister then
type sister. If it is a friend then type friend. If she is the Querentis sisterls
friendls employee then type that. If she is a stranger, a casual acquaintance or
someone with whom the Querent have not real relationship, then type stranger.

Question: iWill he ask me for a date?! A window will open to specify 6hel.
If he is a boyfriend, a co-worker, your friendls brother, or the boss, then say sol
If he is still a new person in the Querentis life then he is designated as a
stranger!.

PROPER NAMES

Nostradamus cannot understand any proper names so always avoid using

them. Instead, state the relationship between yourself or the Querent and the
other party as we just explained above. Ex: Should I hire Kathy?T it must be
asked, 6Should I hire this stranger?! or whatever relationship Kathy has to you or
the Querent. If a Querent has just interviewed two prospective employees and
is not sure which is best, type in iShould I hire this stranger or that stranger?! to
see who would be a better employee, keeping in mind which is the first choice
or favored and which is the second choice. Each stranger will be analyzed
separately.

Now if a friend is applying and she is your motherls friendls daughter then
ask, iShould I hire my motherls friendls daughter?!

Even though words may not have a suffix, most can be entered in their
plural form (learns) or past tense (learned). Nostradamus will automatically read
the suffixes.

WORDS WITH DOUBLE MEANINGS

Nostradamusls artificial intelligence knows when there is a word that has

double meanings. (Nostradamus has 2 Saturns and no Neptune in itls chart!)

Question: iWill the company visit me?!

AIR Software
Nostradamus II 23

The word ecompanyl can either mean a firm or friends. Nostradamus will
automatically open a window showing the possible synonyms. Click on the right
definition and click on the OK button. This synonym will direct the program to
select the correct house. If none of the synonyms are applicable to the ques-
tion, click on the Cancel button and REPHRASE THE QUESTION by CHOOS-
ING A DIFFERENT WORD.

WORDS IN CATEGORIES

Some words cover a lot of items or serve as an umbrella for many other
words. The word CLOTHES contains so many items of clothing, like shirts,
skirts, socks, shoes, etc. Ask, IShould I buy this suit?! and choose between
the meaning of a law suit or an article of clothing. But Nostradamus does not
have a vocabulary to cover a question asked about buying a Fedora (a type of
hat) so you would have to rephrase the question. Ask all questions related to
buying articles of clothing by saying, iShould I buy these clothes?! even if it is
one item. You might be thinking about wearing something to a party and
ask,!Should I wear these clothes (meaning a dress)?! STo the party! is under-
stood and so extraneous. Be clear about this issue. Whatis more
important..wearing the clothes or going to the party?

Use the broader category if the specific item is not in the vocabulary data
base of Nostradamus. For speed and certainty always use the broader cat-
egory. Other words might include pets or furniture.
Example: The question is about purchasing a hamster. The question to ask is:
IShould I buy this pet?!

The word possession will cover all moveable belongings. Because this
has a double meaning (spirit possession as well as ownership) a window will
open asking to select which definition is being used. Possessions could cover
a pen, notebook, computer, dishes, jewelry...everything owned except land, real
estate, a home or a motor vehicle. For a lost watch the question could be
phrased IPoint to my possession.! Possessions may also be shortened to
UTEMl So. for brevity. savJPoint to mv item.!

COMPARISON QUESTIONS

Often we are faced with the dilemma of buying, hiring, reading, working,
committing to this or that Nostradamus can quickly and easily help out. Letis

AIR Software
24 Nostradamus II
use an example oT purcRasmg a car. TFiere are Iwo cars TfiaTIooR greaT. Orga-
nize them in order of first favored and second favored. Then ask, iShould I buy
this car?T This will weigh the strength of the answer for the first car. To find out
the answer strength for the second car ask the question, iShould I buy this car
car?T Notice that the question has the word car twice. This will give an answer
for the second car. For a third car you would ask. iShould I buy this car car
car?T This will give an answer for the third car. Keep track of the red and green
percentage strength for each car and from that make a decision.

Hereis another example, A client calls. Her step daughter was accepted
to two colleges. She asks which college her step daughter should attend. The
question would be phrased, iShould my step-daughter go to this college?! to
analyze the first college. iShould my step-daughter go to this college college?!
to analyze the second college. Nostradamus will turn the chart to the 9th from
9th or the 5th house to indicate the second college. If she was toying with three
colleges she could ask, iShould I go to this college college college?! and have
the three colleges evaluated accordingly. Nostradamus will turn the chart count-
ing the 9th from the 9th from the 9th which is the 3rd college. It may sound
confusing at first but it follows the rules of horary in turning the chart.

HereCs another example. Question: iShould I go to the theatre or to the

club?! Nostradamus would not understand this question correctly because these
are two completely different questions. However, if posed as, iShould I go to
the theatre?! And then ask, !Should I go to the club?! this will yield the correct
answers. The question yielding a higher green light percentage is the option to
accept and go to.

LOST ARTICLES

Locating lost articles is easy with Nostradamus but there are a few tricks
that make it much easier.

To find lost articles with Nostradamus, simply go to Manual Input and choose # 1
for the Querent and #2 for Quesited. This will go to automatically cover all mov-
able items, which in horary are assigned to the second house of possessions.
If the missing item is a car or vehicle of some sort then enter the #3 for the
house of the Quesited.

Click on More Info tab next to the question tab.

LETTING THE COMPUTER PICK THE RIGHT HOUSE
See the word Describe. In this slot window type emy item!, then click on the OK
button. Notice that the Querent house will be the first and the Quesited house
will be the second.

DESCRIBING A LOCATION FOR A LOST ITEM

Underneath IDescribeT it will say TDescribe what?. In the slot window next to it is
the word Ithing I. Click on the down arrow next to the word ethingi and choose
the word eplacel. There is a description for a place where the item might be in
the ICIarify Information! window below.

There are three types of descriptions for a place. If the item is in the house,
nearby or faraway.

Next, click on the down arrow next to the word eDescribel and choose Ipoint toT.
Click on the Local Space Chart button. A compass direction is indicated by the
red arrow. eNi on this graphic indicates the direction North from where you or the
Querent is. Do your search using a compass direction indicated by the red arrow
then reverse your searched towards the blue arrow. When I am searching for
something in my house I position myself in the center of the house, face North
and take the direction from there.

If searching for something that might be far away, then use the approximate
mileage displayed under distance.

SEARCHING FOR AN ITEM THAT BELONGS TO SOMEONE ELSE

When searching for an item that belongs to your spouse in the slot window next
to the word eDescribei type in my wifefs item then click on the word OK. The
artificial intelligence will choose the eighth house for your wifeis item. If it was
your childls item, type in my childls item.
If you are looking for your child then type in my child and click on the OK button.
When searching for pets, type is my pets.

Now all the information is there to go hunting for the lost item!

The timing of recovery might is also addressed by Nostradamus. Return to the

conclusion gauge.

If you feel it was stolen, ask just that. To get a description of the thief do one of
two things. Manually input house 7 for Quesited or let the computer choose the
right house by typing the word thief in the ^describe! window and click on the OK
button. That will designate the Quesited as the seventh house.

Under eDescribei enable either Person or By Personality.

The last set of key commands is eHOW CANT. Question: iHow can I improve
my marriageTT and a window will open to advice.
The command words 6HOW CAN! will give a description why certain things are
happening, such as, iWhy is my boss upset?! or IWhy is my child not talking?!

These two key words will give the Querent advice on how to make things better
or what the Querent may be doing wrong in regard to question.
This is the same as the ADVICE button in the MANUAL input of a question.

DESCRIBING SOMETHING

This could be an object such as a car, house, etc. If the question is about
buying a car manually input houses 1 and 3 or let the computer pick the houses
by typing the word car or house in the slot window next to describe and click the
OK button. Then select ethingi in the Describe What slot window. A description
of the car or the house will be found in the eclarily information! window below.
This description can apply to anything.

DESCRIBING A PLACE

If this button is enabled a description of a place, indoors and outdoors is given.

This will describe a place where the missing object could be.

DESCRIBING A PERSON

If this button is enabled a description of the physical appearance of a

person would be given. This might describe a thief or boss or boyfriend, a
friend, etc. Remember that horary astrology does not always describe people

AIR Software

to a T, but a good general description is helpful.

DESCRIBING A PERSON BY PERSONALITY

If this button is enabled a personfs personality type will be described. Make

sure to enter the person to be described in the slot window. This could be a
friend, the boss, a partner.

WHY
This part of the program gives suggestions on how to improve conditions or
circumstances and understand what might be wrong or inappropriate.
Example: A problem marriage just type the word marriage in the slot window
and click on OK. Click down on the down arrow next to the word Described and
select the word eWhyl. Read the information in the Clarify Information window.

POINT TO
Enable eFind Distance! to find how far away the bank is where a loan can be

obtained or where you can find romance. If the Querent wanted to find a bank
to
obtain a loan then the ruling planetfs house position would point to the geo-
graphic direction (N,S, E, W.) and the zodiac sign would indicate which part of
that locality in which to search. First click IPoint toT to find a compass direction
then IFind Distance? to find how far it is from where you are. Then use the direc-
tion given at the bottom of the local space chart dialog box to see in which part
of that town to search for the bank. First find a direction from where the Querent
is. Then take how far from where the Querent is, and, third, once there the part
of town to search for the bank.

FINDING TIME

Enable IFind Time? to find the time in days, months or years when the answer
could materialize. Remember, in horary that it is multiples of the etiming! number
that always works better. This means that if the timing came up with 2 apply it to
possibly indicating hours, days, months or years. (2 hours, 2 days, 2 months, or
2 years).

WHO

Enable the word Who to find the relationship between the Quesited and
Querent. Example: iWho was on the phone?! Type the word Sphonei in the slot
window and click on OK . Select the word ewho.i A relationship description will
be given.

CLARIFY

Enable this button to describe a possible health problem. Manually input 6 for
the Quesited house for a description of possible health conditions. Or let the
computer do it by typing the word ehealthi in the slot window and click on the OK
button. A description will be given for a possible health condition. To clarify the
health of others type in: my dogs health, my motheris health, my childis health
etc.

POINT TO

Enable this button to get all pertinent compass directions. In a search for a lost
item in the home, the ruling planetis house position in the chart would point to
the part of the house that needs to be searched. The sign that the ruling planet
is in tells which wall to search. If the Querent wanted to find a bank to obtain a
loan, then the ruling planetis house position would point to the geographic direc-
tion (N,S, E, W.) and the zodiac sign would indicate which part of that locality in
which to search. Click on

HAVE FUN WITH THE PROGRAM

Even though the charts for horary questions are only drawn for the time that a
question is asked, you might want to explore your own natal chart just for fun and
insight into the natal chart ONLY,

Remember, this will not be horary, though the technique of turning the chart for
more insight into the natal will be used. BUT this is NOT horary when using the
Natal Chart. This is working with Derived Houses but because of the use of the
natal chart BUT IT WILL NOT BE HORARY. Simply enter your own natal chart.
Then type in questions and see what answers are given. Will I be rich?, will my
husband be rich?, will I travel in my life?, will I have a lot of friends, etc.

Use the descriptions too, such as: STell how or whyi e.g. iHow can I make

member. using vour natal chart in this wav has nothing at all to do with the art

The chart that is used for horary is a chart calculated for the time a client or a
person asks the question or the time that the question first came in your head.
If a question came in your head three days ago you can not use today date and
time to answer the question. It wonlt work!
Using natal chart to answer a question is not HORARY. That is using the daily
transits. Call it what you want, but it is not horary.

To read through this text delineation simply use the down arrow on the side bar.
Keep in mind that this text is extremely generic, sometimes requiring a need to
make it more applicable to the question asked. A wide variety of subject matters
and questions will be asked of Nostradamus so there is a need to make each
delineation very broad.

UNDERSTANDING RED AND GREEN LIGHTS

A Green light indicates that the outcome is in favor of the Querent while
the Red light states that the outcome is not in favor of the Querent. Example: If
a Querent asks, eWill my wife divorce me?l and he is fearful of divorce, a green
light would indicate that everything is all right and his wife will NOT divorce him.
If the question is phrased, 6Will the divorce go through?! and the Querent wants
a divorce then the green lights would indicate a YES, that the divorce will take
place. In this instance, red lights mean that things are not right with the divorce.

The same rule applies if the question is, IShould I quit my job?i Green lights
mean that things are fine with the job! do NOT quit. If the final outcome is red
lights, it means YES, quit the job. If, however, the question is IShould I take this
new job?i and green lights are strong, the answer is YES, take the new job.
Horary requires care in how questions are asked!

The final outcome will be given in a decimal number form in red or green lights.
The ceiling for any answer is 5.0 so 2.0 Green Lights would indicate a definite
6yes!! 4.0 Green lights is an outstanding YES! The same applies to the Red
lights. Sometimes there is a conclusion of 0.0 green or red lights. This is where

Derived houses is a system of house rulerships. In horary working with the

correct house is vital to accuracy in answering the question. For example, if you
do not know which house rules the word ehomei simply type in fihomei a in the
window slot next to described and click the OK button. Check the house value
that it gave for Quesited . This means that it is the fourth house of the chart that
rules the home. Next, go back and type in fimothens homei in the slot window.
Again, the number 1 will appear for Quesited. This means that the 1st house of
the chart is ruling the motheris home. Now letistry esonfs homei in the slot win-
dow and see that the number 8 will appear in Quesited. It is the eighth house
that will rule your sonis home. Learning this system of derived houses is not
only fun but so helpful in all future horary work,

ACCURATE TIMING OF THE QUESTION

Horary astrology is a very old art and is a very serious part of astrology. Over the
centuries the art of astrology has given answers and solutions to all types of
questions with astounding accuracy.

Horary is the art of answering a question by analyzing a horoscope calculated for

the time that the question is asked. Every time a question is asked it creates a
birth and every birth has a horoscope.

This is not a game and should be taken seriously. But by sitting at the computer
and asking question after question, the answers will be more confusing than
insightful. To ask a question the moment must be right. Asking questions for
yourself is always hard to know if the time taken is right. There are certain things
that happen in life that will automatically force you to ask a question. This is

AIR Software
Nostradamus II 31
caUeB an evenTTJmlng.

These questions will give an accurate answer. For EXAMPLE. If visiting a

doctor for an appointment and the doctor says, Iwhatls wrong with you??, look at
the clock and ask within, IShould I work with this doctor?? or lls this a good doc-
tor?? Or after the doctor finishes his examination and he shares his diagnosis,
look at the clock and take that time for the question. Upon returning home, enter
the date and time asking lis the doctors diagnosis right?? Or Idid the doctor
make the right decision?? Then let Nostradamus help you clarify your health and
see if this is the right doctor for you!

Other event timings could come from something that someone is telling you
which presents a question in your mind. As you ask yourself the question, mark
the time down for your horary. Now, often with the mail and phone machines
timing the question can be confusing. If you receive a letter or invitation in the
mail, time the question by the actual time that you finish reading the letter and
understand the question posed. If you know the client well and all of his circum-
stances, you may want to take the time that YOU heard the question on the
phone machine and understand it. If not, then phone the client and interrogate
him until you completely understand the question and the details involved.

Sometimes a client will call repeatedly, leaving a message on the answering

machine. Again, the utmost clarity of whatfs being asked is vital to the true out-
come of so I suggest that you speak with the client over the phone to fully under-
stand the question and then take that time...not before.
