 Conversion from Decimals to Percentages

Consider the decimal 0.216.

Step 1 0.216 = 0.216  100%  Multiply the decimal by 100%.

Step 2 = (0.216  100)%

Step 3 = 21.6%


Add the ‘%’ sign.

Express each of the following decimals as a percentage. (5 – 8)  Example 9.4
