SUBJECT: FREE MEDICAL, DENTAL AND LEGAL AID SERVICES


PROGRAM

TERMINAL REPORT

I. Background

It has been a long practice of the Legal Office in coordination with the
Integrated Bar of the del Sur Chapter to provide Free Legal Aide Services to the
constituents of City by rendering free legal consultation and preparation of legal
documents. It is the unceasing advocacy of the two entities to make sure that
the legal system promotes justice on the basis of equal opportunity for all the
citizens of City. Hence, arrange to provide free legal aid to those who cannot
access justice due to economic and other disabilities.

The objectives of the said activity are as follows:

1. Conduct free legal aid services to indigent constituents of City; and


2. Maintain and strengthen partnership with the lawyers and del Sur in the
provision of free legal services, considering limitation of legal staff of the city
government.

II. Preliminaries

The activity was spearheaded by the Integrated Bar of the Philippines del
Sur Chapter in collaboration with the Legal Office and was also supported by the
members of the City Health Office, Philippine Army, Philippine Medical
Association, Public and Private Practicing dentist of City, Rotary Club of, Alumni
Batch 2000, among others.

Prior to the medical, dental and legal services proper, a short program
was conducted and hosted by Atty. ABCDE FGHIJ KLMNO. It started at 8:00 in
the morning with an invocation and followed by the singing of the national
anthem which were both presented thru audio visual presentations.

To formally open the program, Atty. ABCDE FGHIJ KLMNO, President of


the Integrated Bar of the Philippines- del Sur Chapter, gave his welcome
message.
Thereafter, the free services (medical, dental, legal and free haircut)
started and the same was facilitated the alumni of College-Batch 2000.

All participants were given screening forms and were queued based on a
“first come first serve” basis to ensure fast and effective delivery of the services
that they wanted to avail. They were assisted by the members of the Philippine
Army 67th division.

The participants who availed of the services were estimated to be around


seven hundred to one thousand individuals (700-1000) who came from the
different barangays of City.

The lunch was provided by the Legal Office, the snacks by the IBP-SDS
Chapter and the drinks (bottled water) by the Rotary Club of City.

The program ended with the giving of certificates and tokens to all
participating lawyers, doctors and dentists.

III. The Free Legal Aid Services Proper

The activity proper started at more or less 8:30 in the morning and ended
at 4:00 in the afternoon.
