WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN
THE INDIVIDUAL'S IDEAS?
The main purpose of their meeting is to have a comprehensive plan for the company’s
strategic realignment up, running, and winning within six months, as the CEO asked.
At the 3rd meeting, Ray, Maureen and Carl tried to speak of their own opinions about
the solution of this case and each of them mostly talked about the problem that their
own division has been face.

Randy thought that this idea of building a team to solve this project is never going to
work. He didn't think that way to change isn't come from a team. he thought that
brilliant ideas come from brilliant individuals who then inspire others in the
organization to implement them.

Eric, who’s in charge for this team, tried to change Randy’s mind and tried to
encourage the whole team. At the end, Ray, Maureen and Carl walked out the meeting
because they have different thought about this team, they gave up and mad about
Randy’s misbehave
What is Randy’s problem?
He showed arrogant expression while in the team (tapping his pen on
table to indicate his boredom, denigrated other people’s comment)

Sometimes he withheld information vital to the group’s

debate
His statement that underestimate other member’s team “Leader’s lead,
followers.. Please pipe down!” irritates other members

His other jokes in other meetings also couldn’t be accepted by other

Beside his inappropriate attitude, he has big potential for the company’s
performance in the future based on his skills and experiences

WHAT IS THE MESSAGE OF THE
CASE?

Based on the case, we can conclude that chemistry in the team is important. The
forming stage is one of vital stage from the team development, if they can’t pass the
stage well, it will affect to the next stage that they have to face. Individual’s
unaccepted behavior could lead into problem for the team if they can’t tolerate and
show respects to each other.
