After appearing for NEET exam my expected score was around 630. So i was very much sure that my All India Rank
would be around 350 to 400. But after result, i was shocked to see i got the same score of 630 but my AIR was 2,824.
Since in 2019 Mark v/s Rank calculation was totally different so i was not able to plan my AIQ counseling to get one
of the top medical colleges in mumbai/Pune. I joined Medical Mentor after attending a seminar arranged by them
in mumbai. Medical Mentor helped me in planning my counseling and prioritising college choices in AIQ. I got
alloted GOA Medical College in the 1st round. This was one of the last options i gave and wanted a much better
college in mumbai/pune. In this crucial situation, Medical mentor helped me with their analysis and taking free
exit from AIQ counselling before declaration of 2nd round result. With guidance of Medical Mentor i have applied
for "AFMC Pune" as well along with AIQ counseling. Later I got selected in AFMC with 9th merit. A big thanks to
Medical Mentor for their support!!

2. Also, it must be ensured that they have entered accurate mobile number and email id since KEA will use SMS or
emails for communication purposes.
3. In case a candidate fails to enter the right information during registration, as mentioned on his/her documents or
certificates or mark sheets, they most likely fail the document verification process and will not be able to secure a
seat in the KEA counseling process. Thus candidates are advised to be very careful while entering their details
during the registration process.
4. After a candidate registers with the KEA, the verification schedule for both dental and medical colleges are
released to them detailing the date, time and place for their respective document verification processes.
Candidates are required to go in-person to the verification counters with their original documents in order to get
their documents verified against the data furnished on application form, registration form, etc.
5. Verification of documents is done to determine the eligibility of candidates. Only after the documents are verified
and are found in order in accordance with the eligibility criteria the candidates will be given a verification
acknowledgment slip containing the User ID and Secret Key. The User ID and Secret Key will be essential for
candidates to get access to entry of options and go further in counseling process.

ENTRY OF OPTIONS
Candidates whose documents are successfully verified and are found eligible in earlier stage will be able to enter their
preferences for final seat allotment process. Eligible candidates will be able to login to the 'Entry of Options' online portal
with the User ID and Secret Key provided at the end of successful completion of document verification process.
Candidates should remember the following points while entering their options.
1. Candidates can start the procedure of entering options only after the government makes the seat matrix available on
KEA's official website. Seat matrix will give the details of category-wise seats available in particular courses of all colleges.
2. After the seat matrix is made available, eligible candidates should login to the 'Entry of Options' online portal with the
User ID and Secret Key provided to them after the document verification process. Login link will be available on the official
website of the KEA.
3. Once logged in, candidates can enter their preferences for the courses and colleges available to them. Note that
candidates will only be allowed to enter those options for which they are eligible. Also note that candidates would be able
to enter options for both dental and medical disciplines at once in the same preference list. Candidates will first need to
select the discipline and then enter college from the available list of colleges of that discipline available for him/ her.
Finally, the priority number needs to be mentioned in front of each choice of course and college made. For example, your
first option could be from medical and second from dental and third also from dental and fourth from medical and so on.
4. Until the choices made in the system are locked in by clicking on submit but- ton, a candidate can change or modify the
options. The process of entering the options and locking the choices spans across some days. During this time, unless
finally submitted, candidates can change the choices entered by them. Please note that the order of choices will
automatically get locked when the last date and time of entering of options approaches (in case submission is not done
manually). Once the options are added, candidates are advised to take a printout of preferences of options entered by
them, before finally submitting them.
Important:
The 'One-Time Options Entry' rule makes the process of 'Entering the Options' all the more crucial for the entire
counseling process. Thus, candidates are suggested they practice the choosing and entering of options for seat
allotment process prior to actually entering the preferences in the module. For this purpose, KEA also conducts a mock
allotment process for candidates (explained later in this E-book).

1. Mock allotment process will give candidates an idea of seat allotment process on the basis of real time
data entered by them during 'Entry of Options’
2. After entry of options is completed, candidates in the order of their merit ranks are allotted seats as per
the order of preferences added by them in step3, but this allotment is only indicative in nature, such that it
isn't real allotment are also released in the counseling schedule released by KEA in the beginning of the
counseling process.
3. The actual allotment of seats will commence after this. The dates and times of mock allotment are also
released in the counseling schedule released by KEA in the beginning of the counseling process.
4. Candidates can check their result of mock allotment from the official website of KEA.
Candidates are given a chance to change/alter/add/delete their order of preferences for the last time after
mock allotment process is over. They wouldn't be allowed to change the options after this. Candidates
must enter their final choices of options before the last date of entry of options.

NEET Counselling : Karnataka
Seat allotment is the process of allotment of seat to a qualified candidate in the order of their merit rank,
preferences and the number of seats available in candidates chosen medical or dental colleges. Allotment
of seats to candidates primarily depends upon the candidate's priority and their merit ranks. Every
candidate who submits their choices in the previous round is considered for allotment of seats in this
round.
After a candidate enters the options in order of preference and submits these choices, the seat allotment
process ensues.KEA seat allotment process takes place in following rounds:
In case any seats remain vacant after the second round, a mop round is conducted to fill those seats.
All rounds of KEA seat allotment process are automated. KEA seat allotment is controlled by sophisticated
computerized software which minutely examines each and every choice entered by the candidate and
matches them in the order of their preferences with the seats available.
Note: it is not necessary that all the candidates be necessarily allotted a seat. It might not be possible
if seats get exhausted as per the choices entered by a candidate.
Result of First Round of Seat Allotment: After third phase of first round of seat allotment is complete,
find list of candidates and the seats allotted to them, is released on KEA's official website. Candidates are
also individually informed through SMS and email about their allotment.
Post seat Allotment Process after First Round: After the result of the first round of seat allotment is out,
candidates are required to make a choice from four choices available to him/her.

2. Second Round of Seat Allotment
The procedure of seat allotment in second round will be same as that was followed in the first round of seat allotment.
Types of seats which will be offered in second round: All the unfilled or fortified or cancelled seats of first round and
seats which of seat allotment process and those who weren't allotted any seats will be eligible to be considered for the
second round of seat allotment process.
Who will be eligible for the second round of seat allotment process? Candidates who exercised choices 2 and 3 after
first round of seat allotment process and those who weren't allotted any seats will be eligible to be considered for the
second round of seat allotment.
Who will not be eligible for the second round of seat allotment process? Candidates who exercised choices 1 and 4
and those who failed to exercise any choice what so ever after first round. Similarly, those who exercised choices 1 and 2,
but failed to make payment of fees or didn't collect admission order (for those who exercised choice1) will not be
eligible.
Important:
It should be noted that in case a candidate gets in this round, there is no chance that they will be able to secure the seats
allotted to them in the first round of seat allotment back, since only higher order options are considered in the second round
of seat allotment, it is considered that the candidate prefers the option allotted in this round more than the one allotted to
them in previous round(if any).
