to kill germs in our hands. Handwashing is important so that we will not get sick.

Candy always loses her wallet. Even if it only has coins in it, she still feels bad. Mother thought of ways to stop this. One day,
Mother decided to tie the wallet in Candy’s pocket using a red ribbon. It looks funny but it surely worked.

TEXT TYPE B
The big and green watermelon seems inviting. When we opened it up, the sweet smell spreads, and its fresh juice flows. The
bright red flesh with the black seeds on it even made it more delicious-looking. When I took a bite, it was the most refreshing
feeling ever!

TEXT TYPE C
Hotdogs for breakfast is the easiest thing to cook. First, remove the plastic covering the hotdogs and make short slices. Next, heat

Read the passage below.
I’m a pasta lover. I love aglio olio pasta. There are lots of ways on how to prepare it but I tried to learn how cook it in my own
simple way. First, cook the pasta in boiling water using the procedures indicated in the pasta wrapper. Secondly, fry the stripped
bacon until it becomes golden brown. Set aside it after. Then, put enough amount of olive oil in the saucepan. Saute the minced
garlic. Add salt and pepper. Place the drained pasta. Add enough amount of lemon juice. Include the chopped celery and pre-
cooked bacon.

Using the passage above, answer the questions below.Write your answers in your notebook.

INTRODUCTION: Sa nakaraang modyul na iyong natapos, alin sa mga
sumusunod ang mabuting dulot ng pagsangguni muna ng
katotohanan sa taong kinauukulan bago gumawa ng anumang
hakbangin? Lagyan ng tsek (/) ang mga ito.

1. Nalalaman ang katotohanan.


2. Nagugulo ang isipan sa pagtukoy ng katotohanan.
3. Napatitibay ang isang katotohanan.
4. Nauunawaan ang tamang impormasyon.
5. Nakabibigay ng maling detalye

Pagganyak.
Natutuhan mo sa nakaraang aralin ang tungkol sa pagkakaroon ng
katatagan ng loob sa pagsasabi ng katotohanan. Nasabi at nagawa mo rin
ito nang walang pag-aalinlangan o takot anoman ang maging bunga nito.
Dadako naman tayo sa pag-aaral kung paano susuriin ang isang
pahayag, bagay o pangyayari bago gumawa ng anomang hakbang o kilos.
Ipababatid sa iyo sa araling ito ang mga panggagalingan ng impormasyon
na maaari mong gamitin. Kabilang dito ang mga balitang napakinggan,
patalastas na nabasa/narinig, napanood na programang pantelebisyon at
pagsangguni sa taong kinauukulan.

Paano mo nga ba inaalam ang totoo? Ano anong paraan ang


ginagawa mo upang matuklasan ang katotohanan? Sino sino ang iyong
tinatanong upang makakalap ng tamang impormasyon at mabatid mo ang
katotohanan? Masdan ang mga larawan mula sa Save the Children.
Sa pagtatapos ng araling ito, ikaw ay inaasahang nakapagsusuri ng

Nanay:
kaya ganyan ang sinasabi nila kasi gusto nilang
marami ang bumili ng kanilang produkto.
Kaya po pala gumagawa sila ng patalastas. Pero

siyempre ikaw pa rin nanay ang magaling maglaba lalo
na kapag katulong mo ako kaya kahit anong sabon pa gamitin natin tiyak na malinis ang ating labada.

mura na, may libre pang lunch box na magagamit mo sa pasukan. Dali dali mo itong ipinakita sa nanay mo upang bilhan ka nito.
Agad naman siyang pumayag. Ngunit ng bibilhin na niya ang produkto, hindi ito pumasa sa kanyang pagsusuri.

At home, I know
A wood cabinet is hard. I can`t bend , nor stretch it.
But then I found in my room,
My broken crayons , pencils and metal key, lied in the window.
My younger brother played with them, so I placed them in a row.
My mother saw these, and she gave me coins to buy a metal case that is
new. So I got on my bicycle and bought a hammer. But along the way, I
found a tin can, so I did bring it home, too.
I pressed and hammered a tin can to make a pencil case.
So this time I know,
All things I can keep in it, surely will be safe and always look new
Discussion:
What are the different solid materials mentioned in the poem?
What are the different ways by which these materials are changed?

• Solid materials can be bent. When bent, these materials may change their size and shape. No new material is formed. Only the
physical appearance of the materials is changed.
• The changes that this materials underwent is called physical change.
• Bending a steel bar/iron in industry is an example of bending of solid materials
Solid materials have definite shape and volume. They have different characteristics/properties such as: size, shape, color, texture,
and weight.

Solid materials can be pressed. When pressed, these materials may change their size and shape. Other solid materials may also

Munting Bakuran

Dahil sa banta ng COVID- 19, napaaga ang bakasyon ni Ellize sa paaralan. Si Ellize ay sampung taong gulang, ang kaniyang
ina ay isang nars at pulis naman ang kaniyang ama. Sa tuwing papasok sa trabaho ang kaniyang magulang, sa lolo at lola siya
naiiwan.
Bago umalis sa trabaho ang kaniyang magulang ay kinausap siya nito. Ilang araw na hindi sila makauuwi sapagkat kailangan
manatili ng kaniyang ina sa ospital upang tulungan ang mga tinamaan ng nakababahalang sakit, ang kaniyang ama naman ay
bantay sa mga checkpoint upang mapanatili ang kaayusan , malimitahan ang pumapasok at lumalabas sa lungsod. Napagpasyahan
nila na huwag munang umuwi ng bahay para sa kaligtasan ng lahat.
Ayon sa balita , mahigpit nang ipinatutupad ang Enhance Community Quarantine (ECQ) sa maraming lugar sa bansa. Isa
lamang sa bawat pamilya ang maaaring lumabas at mamili ng kanilang mga pangangailangan sa palengke upang maiwasan ang
mabilis na pagkalat ng sakit. Ipinagbawal din na lumabas ang matatanda at bata dahil delikado sa kanilang mga kalusugan.
Napaisip si Ellize na kung hindi na maaaring lumabas ang kaniyang lolo at lola ay maubusan sila ng pagkain . Tumingin si
Ellize sa kaniyang lolo at lola at nagdalawang – isip magsalita. “Ano iyon apo?” tanong ng lolo. “Ah, kasi po sabi sa balita ay
bawal kayong lumabas, iniisip ko lang po kung paano na tayo kapag matatagalan pang umuwi sina nanay at tatay. Nangiti ang
dalawang matanda sa narinig.
Niyaya nila si Ellize sa kanilang bakuran. Ipinakita nila ang mga tanim na talbos ng kamote, petsay, okra, talong at kangkong.
May dalawang puno pa ng malunggay na nakatanim. “Sa palagay mo ba apo, magugutom tayo?” Sabay tawanan nilang tatlo.
Simula noon, si Ellize na ang nagdidilig ng mga tanim
araw-araw. Ipinamimigay din nila ang sobrang gulay sa kanilang kapitbahay.
Naisip ni Ellize ang palaging sinasabi ng lolo niya “kapag may itinanim, may aanihin.”

Maraming pook sa Pilipinas ang mayaman sa ginto kaya maraming Pilipino ang nagmimina rito kung saan kumikita naman sila.
Ngunit gumagamit sila ng asoge o mercury upang matanggal ang ginto sa kinatataguang bato. Lason sa lamang –dagat at sa tao
ang asoge. Matindi at masakit sa ulo’t gulugod ang napasok sa asoge. Sa dami ng nagmimina ay tone-toneladang asoge ang

Ang Pilipinas bilang isang bansang Insular


Mahalaga sa Pilipinas ang pagiging insular na bansa nito dahil
nakapagbibigay ito ng kapakinabangan. Akmang-akma ang mga
baybaying-dagat sa pagpatatayo ng Tanggulang Pambansa. Nakapagtatayo
ng maraming daungan na nagsisilbing daanan ng mga sasakyang pandagat
na nagdadala ng mga pasahero at mga kalakal mula sa loob at labas ng
bansa.
Sa mga dagat ding nakapalibot sa bansa nakakukuha ng mga yamang
dagat na nakatutulong sa kabuhayan ng mamamayan. Nagsisilbi ring
pang-akit sa mga turista ang kagandahan ng mga dagat at baybayin nito.

Ang lokasyon ay ang kinalalagyan ng isang bagay.


Ang heograpiya ay tawag sa pag-aaral o paglalarawan ng anyo ng isang lugar at ng pamumuhay rito.
Ang maritime o insular ay tumutukoy sa mga katubigang nakapaligid sa isang bansa. Dahil sa pagiging kapuluan ng bansang
Pilipinas, asahan na ito ay napalilibutan ng mga dagat at karagatan.
Ang bansang Pilipinas ay isang maritime o insular. Makikita sa gawing silangan ng bansa ang Karagatang Pasipiko, nasa gawing
hilaga ang Bashi Channel at sa kanluran naman ang Dagat Kanlurang Pilipinas.
Ang Dagat Celebes naman ay nasa gawing timog ng bansa. Ang Pulo ng Y’ami ang pinakdulong pulo ng bansa sa gawing hilaga.
Ang pulo naman ng Salauag ang pinakadulong pulo sa gawing timog ng bansa.
