1. What is Mathematics?

There are many ways and meaning to define mathematics it can be a form of pattern in
nature, in music or even in the computer games. There is a mysterious connection of
mathematics and in the world that they used math to examine the universe. But one thing to
describe math is that math can illustrate and explain the world and everything.

2. Where is Mathematics?

"If you look into the nature, there are numbers all around us" according to Mario Livio, an
author of Is God A Mathematician? Mathematics is everywhere, we always know that it is
connected but we just don't know how mathematics works in everything. As we use and used
math, we discover many things in world that we make us developed through the years with
the help of Science.

3. Cite some relevant scenarios that are found in the environment.

We can see Math in nature by looking at the petal of a flower, there are many kinds of
flower that has different numbers of petal that give us Fibonacci Sequence. We can also see
the relevant of math in the animals like tiger, we can see the symmetrical pattern in the stripes
of the tiger and also in the human body. Another example is the hive, we can see the patterns
use in the hive and the number in it.
4. Write your reflection about the mathematics in the nature.

I have learned that in mathematics you can see it everywhere in the surrounding if you
only look deeper on it. Math can give us explanation in everything we see through the
mathematical equation. I also learned that being a mathematician is a very hard thing to do
because it needs a lot of time and understanding in able to prove a theory and if it really works
in world. Also, I have realized that in Mathematics we may some might be able to know how
it works but not the complete answer in the end it will remain, the Great Math Mystery.

5. How useful are pattern to you as a student, as an individual and as a child?

Pattern can see everywhere in our surrounding and it useful to a student because pattern
provide critical thinking and logic and it’s important to develop this in mind as a skill. Pattern
is also useful to an individual because it helps us organize information and make sense of the
world around us, how the world is connected to us. Also, pattern is useful to child as they learn
sequencing and make predictions that leads to mathematical skills, logic structure in algebra,
and to establishing order in life. As they grow the capacity of their critical thinking also
increase.
