There are several concerns that the Philippines' recently appointed government has to

give top priority to, including:

a. The establishment of public clinics and hospitals, offering free or inexpensive
healthcare services including immunizations, care for women during pregnancy,
and treatment for sexually transmitted infections.
b. Modification of public infrastructure, particularly in the areas of water supply and
sewage disposal, so that it may better serve its citizens without worrying about
disease contamination.

c. Create an organization or lead agency that will oversee the activities that happen
within the Department of Health, provide transparency, and ensure the right
distribution or utilization of funds to reduce fraud.
